Border-Gavaskar Trophy – The biggest test series of the year was started with the pink-ball game at Adelaide test between India and Australia on 17 December. Australia has won the ODI series by 2-1 while T20l fixtures has been won by team India with 2-1. Australia's team was about to miss the services of David Warner in the first test after he suffered the injury in the T20l series while team India Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma have been pulled out of the series. So both the sides were playing without their key players in the first test match and team India after winning the toss have decided to bat first and just the second ball of the match Prithivi Shaw was back to the pavilion after Australian Paceman Mitchell Starc rattled his stumps. Then joined the crease Pujara alongside Mayank Aggarwal but with the addition of 32 runs on the scoreboard Pat Cummins cleaned up the stumps of Mayank Aggarwal to send him back to the pavilion who had completely missed the ball between bat and pad.

With two down at the score 32 team India most dependable batting pair was on the crease as Virat Kohli and Pujara looked to rescue the team but Australia team couldn't make that happened as first Pujara departs at the score of 43 and then a complete mix-up call between Rahane and Kohli to put team India at complete backfoot with the wicket of Virat Kohli (74) which triggered the collapse as team India only managed to score 244 runs in the first innings. In response, thanks to R.Ashwin (4) and Umesh Yadav (3) who have shared 7 wickets to restrict the hosts (Australia) at the score of 191 runs to get the crucial lead of 53 runs in the first innings. Till the first two days it was almost an equal contest as it looked like anyone could win this game. But Day 3 at Adelaide turned into a nightmare for team India when they lost 9 wickets under the score of 25 runs to turn the scoreboard look like 36 for 9 before Mohammad Shami was smashed with a lethal bouncer from Pat Cummins. Australia needed 90 runs to register the win and they chased down the target with 8 wickets in hand to take the 1-0 lead in the series. But with the end of the first test match there have been numerous records made by team India. Let us take a look at the records.

If we take a look back into the history of cricket to find such a scoreboard we have gone back into 1924 when South Africa crumbled down to 30 runs against England at Edgbaston.
