French Grand Prix 2022 Results | Formula 1

We are back with yet another Formula 1 Grand Prix results article and this one is the French Grand Prix which took place yesterday and it was a thrilling race like most of the races in the Formula 1 Calendar. The competition was nicely poised between Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc in the drivers Standings and they came into this race looking to get more points and some did that while the others couldn’t and we will talk about all that below in the results.

The Formula 1 has become one of my favorite sports to watch in the past year and it’s because of the fresh blood of drivers that have come and the new areas of the world that they go and race and it shows the popularity of the sport that lakhs of fans turn up to every race to watch these drivers. Hopefully they will race soon in India as well. With all that being said let's get to the results of the French Grand Prix 2022.

French Grand Prix 2022 Race Results

Before the race starts we have to talk about Qualifying as Charles Leclerc took P1 in the race followed by Max Verstappen at P2 and Sergio Perez at P3 so it was the Ferrari driver who was surrounded by the 2 Red Bull drivers. Charles Leclerc takes the early lead from Max Verstappen In Lap 1 and Lewis Hamilton jumps to 3rd place at the start itself. At Lap 2 Fernando Alonso got a great start to his race as he overtook George Russell to be at the 5th spot. At Lap 7 of the race Charles Leclerc is good in the lead of the race and Sergio Perez is getting good pace and is racing towards Lewis Hamilton for the 3rd spot. At Lap 27 came the turning point of the race as the leader Charles Leclerc was out of the race as his car spun off the race track and his race came to a dramatic end which no one saw coming and suddenly the complexion of the race changed.

At Lap 20 Max Verstappen is in the lead of the race with Lewis Hamilton in 2nd and Sergio Perez in 3rd place and it looks great for Red Bull once again. At Lap 30 Carlos Sainz is in 4th place as he overtook George Russell and this has been an outstanding race from Carlos Sainz so far. At Lap 32 Lewis Hamilton is 5.7 seconds behind Max Verstappen and Perez closes the gap to 1.5 Seconds. At Lap 38 Max Verstappen is in a comfortable lead of 7 seconds behind Lewis Hamilton and looks good for the win. At Lap 42 of the Race Carlos Sainz is in 3rd place as he goes past Sergio Perez even as his team was telling him to pit. In Lap 51 of the race George Russell goes 3rd in the race and Perez will be heartbroken. Lap 52 is over and Max Verstappen wins the race easily and Lewis Hamilton is 2nd and George Russell is 3rd so a good day for Mercedes.
