Another weekend of Premier League action brought with it it’s fair share of twists and turns. With the table toppers changing three times during the gameweek, the Premier League continued to astonish the fans.
Liverpool and Manchester City shared the spoils in a crunch clash between title rivals. Aston Villa claimed an emphatic 3-0 victory away to Arsenal, Leicester City moved to the top of the table with a 1-0 win against Wolves.
Elsewhere, the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was momentarily released with a 3-1 win against Everton. Chelsea continued their run of form,thrashing Sheffield United 4-1.

Goal Keeper: Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham)
West Ham United had Lukasz Fabianski to thank for their narrow 1-0 win over London rivals Fulham. Fabianski was commanding throughout the match, but his defining moment came when he saved the penalty of Ademola Lookman in the dying stages of the match.
Right Back: Matty Cash (Aston Villa)
Keeping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quiet throughout the match is no easy task, but Matty Cash made it a walk in the park. His six clearances, three interceptions and three tackles were vital for Aston Villa to secure an impressive victory at the Emirates.
Center Back: Wesley Fofana (Leicester City)
The 19 year old French center back has made an almost seamless transition to English football. Bringing the ball out from defence comfortably and reading of game immaculate, Leicester seem to have one of the brightest defensive prospects on their hands.
Center Back: Thiago Silva (Chelsea)
Once Chelsea’s major problem area, the defence has been has revilatised and they Thiago Silva to thank. Vocal at the back, anticipating danger and bringing about a sense of calm, Thiago Silva is proving to be a masterstroke by Frank Lampard
Left Back: Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)
Ben Chilwell had been signed by Chelsea to solve their left back problems and the England international is proving to be the answer. Scoring off a Hakim Ziyech cross, Chilwell was a constant threat down the left and combined well with the attacking players. Proving to be worth the money!
Central Midfield: Mateo Kovacic (Chelsea)
Another Chelsea inclusion in the Team of the Week, Kovacic kept things ticking in midfield. With competition for places tough at Chelsea, Kovacic proved to Frank Lampard that he can be the answer to Chelsea’s midfield dilemma. Grabbing an assist plus putting in a shift defensively, Mateo Kovacic’s performance was the highlight of the match.
Central Midfield: Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)
Bruno Fernandes was a livewire throughout the match as Manchester United won 3-1 against Everton. Fernandes’ drive from midfield and his goal scoring talents were eye catching throughout the match. His assist for Cavani’s first goal for Man Utd furthered solidified the fact that Bruno Fernandes’ is the heartbeat of the United team.
Central Attacking Midfield: Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)
The Aston Villa captain continued to answer critics in fine fashion as Aston Villa humiliated Arsenal at the Emirates 3-0. Grealish drifted around the attacking third of the pitch and grabbed an assist for Watkins’ second goal. A captain’s performance by Jack Grealish!
Right Wing: Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea)
Hakim Ziyech was the orchestrator-in-chief for Chelsea against Sheffield United. Ziyech’s creativity was the deciding factor against Sheffield United as he found pockets of space on the right and combined well was both Chelsea full backs. Grabbed two assists to continue his fine run of form.
Left Wing: Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace)
Eberechi Eze announced his arrival in the Premier League with a brilliant performance against Leeds United. His delivery for Scot Dann’s goal was sumptuous as was his free kick to grab his first Premier League goal.
Striker: Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)
Ollie Watkins was a constant menace for the Gunner’s defence and proved to be the difference maker between the two sides. Watkins’ pace and movement off the ball helped to create space for Aston Villa’s midfielders to cause damage to the Arsenal backline. Scored two goals which took his tally to six goals in seven matches for Aston Villa.
