The roster for Euro 2024 is almost completed with 20 of 24 nations participating in the group stages, aside from hosts Germany, has been decided. Those are the top two teams from each group in the Euro qualifiers, winners and runners-up, progressing to the main tournament directly. Twelve more sides, who have missed the final berths, will compete in the Euro play-offs to decide the remaining three teams going to the Euro next year. The 17th edition of the European Football Championship is scheduled to begin on 14th June 2024.
Here are all the teams qualified for Euro 2024:
Spain
Last edition’s semi-finalists Spain will make their 12th appearance in the Euros, hoping to add a third title to their name after winning it in back-to-back fashion in 2008 and 2012. La Roja topped Group A in the Euro 2024 qualifiers collecting seven wins out of eight possible games and losing just once, securing 21 points. They were the third-highest goal-scorer with 25 goals in the entire campaign and conceded merely five in a dominant display. Two strikers Alvaro Morata and Joselu added to the team’s tally with four goals each.

Scotland
This will be the fourth participation for Scotland in the Euros and for the consecutive time. For the 2020 edition played in 2021, the Tartan Army had to come through to the playoffs to earn qualification for the tournament. However, this time they secured automatic qualification by ending in the second spot of Group A in the qualifiers by winning the first six matches including a historic win over Spain although they remain winless in the last three. Midfielder Scott McTominay turned into quite a goal-scorer for the side by netting seven goals.

France
France were ruthless in their qualifiers group not suffering a single defeat in the eight games played and registering seven victories. They even registered the record win in the Euro qualification campaign history with a 14-0 demolition of Gibraltar. Les Blues sealed qualification last month itself with this being their 10th appearance in the tournament they have won twice. Didier Deschamps had the second-best defensive record in the qualifiers this time with only three conceded while scoring 29 at the other end. Kylian Mbappé contributed to 14 of them with nine strikes to his name.

Netherlands
The two losses to France threatened to put the Netherlands in hot waters but the Dutch managed to grab the runners-up spot in Group B ahead of Greece who entered the playoffs. Ronald Koeman’s side won the rest of the games in the group with relative ease conceding just once. Whereas, they conceded six in the ties with the French. Netherlands will be competing in the Euros for the eleventh time having won the trophy the only time in 1988.

England
Like the Netherlands, England will be making their 11th appearance in the Euros but they were the dominant side in their qualifying group. Dropping point just twice in the trips to Ukraine and North Macedonia, the Three Lions collected full points in the remaining six of the eight games to finish as group winners with six points better than second-placed Italy. England also conceded just four and scored 22 at the same time. Undoubtedly, captain Harry Kane scored the majority of them with eight and Bukayo Saka was the next best goal contributor with six (four goals and two assists).

Italy
The Euro holders had to wait until the final qualifying group match to ensure they would be defending the trophy in Germany next year. The Azzurri played a 0-0 draw against Ukraine, in Germany as well, ending on the same points as the third-place side but they sealed the second spot due to a superior head-to-head record and goal difference. Luciano Spalleti’s team failed to win in three other fixtures, losing twice against table toppers England and drawing against North Macedonia on the away trip. But a 2-1 win over Ukraine, a 5-2 over North Macedonia in the home clashes and a double over Malta did the job for them. Italy will be making it to the Euros for the 11th time and twice as defending champions.

Turkey
Turkey will be making their sixth appearance in the Euros after having an excellent qualifying campaign. Vincenzo Montella’s side finished top of their group ahead of Croatia and Wales and lost just once in eight games. They dropped point twice against Armenia at home and Wales away in the last game when the qualification was already sealed. In between, they even beat Germany in a preparation friendly for the Euro hosts showing their excellent form ahead of the tournament.

Croatia
While Croatia comfortably grabbed the last qualification spot of their group, with four points better than third-place Wales entering the playoffs, not finishing as group winners will sting them a bit. Zlatko Dalic’s side managed to win an equal number of games as the leaders Turkey with five and drew a game less. However, it was the consecutive defeats to Turkey and Wales that restricted them to the second spot. The side managed to turn back from those losses with wins over Latvia and Romania in the final two games to make their place in Euro 2024. Croatia are playing in the competition for the sixth time.

Albania
It was a historic qualification campaign for Albania who will be going to the European Championship for the second time in history. They made their debut in the competition in 2016 and will be the lowest-ranked team in the competition. The side finished on top of their qualifying group, level on points with the Czech Republic but having a better head-to-head record against the group’s runners-up. Albania also lost just once, a 1-0 defeat to Poland in the opener, in eight matches. However, they only managed a draw in the final two matches against Moldova and quite surprisingly against bottom-place Faroe Islands.

Czech Republic
Coming second in their qualifying group, the Czech Republic finished level on points with leaders Albania and four points better than third-place Poland who moved into the playoffs. Czechia also collected four wins, three draws and just a loss but failing to beat the group toppers cost them the first place. They were unbeaten at home though which included three wins and a draw. This will be the eighth time the Czech Republic are making it to the Euros while they made three other appearances in the competition formerly as Czechoslovakia.

Belgium
Making it to the Euro list will be Belgium, making their seventh appearance in the tournament by booking the top spot in their qualifying group. The Red Devils did not lost a game and picked up six wins out of available eight matches although they finished just a point above runners-up Austria. Domenico Tedesco’s team finished a whopping 10 points ahead of third-place Sweden including beating them 3-0 in the boss’s first game as the national team manager. Romelu Lukaku ended as the top scorer smashing 14 goals in total.

Austria
Following Belgium are Austria who secured the second spot in the table in an exciting way. Ralf Rangnick’s team were expected to be in a tough qualification battle with Sweden also in the mix. But they squashed any competition by winning twice against the Swedes home and away scoring five goals and conceding just once while they only suffered a close 3-2 loss to the Red Devils. They also picked up six wins, the same as the group toppers and dropped points only once. It is their fourth participation for Austria in the Euros since making their debut only in 2008.

Hungary
Hungary also faced an intense battle with Serbia and Montenegro for qualification but ultimately finished four points clear at the top. Unlike the rest, they did not lose any game and dropped points just thrice, five victories, in eight matches. Hungary will be making a fifth appearance at the Euros and for the third consecutive time.

Serbia
Joining them in the Euro 2024 will be Serbia who finished as runners-up. The Serbs will complete their long wait for Euro qualification since last qualifying all the way back in 2000 as the FR Yugoslavia national football team combined with Montenegro. In short, this is Serbia’s first-ever qualification to the Euros at their present state. They were not the most consistent side in their qualifying group but managed to seal the berth ending three points clear of Montenegro in third place.

Denmark
Wobbling a bit at the start with just two wins in the first four matches, Denmark secured six straight wins in the remaining seven games to not only qualify for the Euros but also top their group. The Dane ultimately finished on the same points as runners-up Slovenia although bettered them on head-to-head. It was a four-way battle in the qualifying group with Finland and Kazakhstan both threatening to enter the top two at one point. Kasper Hjulmand’s team will be making the main competition for the tenth time having reached the semi-finals in the last edition.

Slovenia
Slovenia will be making the Euro Championship for only the second time in their history and this is the fourth time they are in a competitive competition. Romania
Romania finished top of their qualifying group without losing a match and managing six wins from the 10 matches played, the other four resulting in a draw. They secured first place with a five-point cushion over runners-up Switzerland and also defeated them in the final game at home. Romania will be participating in the Euro for the sixth time and will be making a comeback to the stage having failed to qualify for the last edition.

Switzerland
Making their sixth appearance in the Euro are Switzerland who beat Israel to the second spot by two points in the qualifiers. That loss in the final game to Romania was their only in the entire qualifying campaign while they scored the most goals in their group with 22. However, their form was not particularly great with the Swiss Army managing no victories in the last four games and only one victory in the last eight qualifying matches.

Portugal
Euro 2016 winners Portugal will be heading into another European championship but not with their trophy-winning manager back then as in the last two editions, Fernando Santos. Getting the sack after the World Cup last year, Roberto Martínez will guide the team to their ninth appearance in the tournament and their seventh in a row. The Selecao had a stunning qualifying campaign winning 10 out of 10 matches, scoring a campaign-high 36 goals and conceding merely two, the best again. Their vibrant attacking football made the team mesmerizing to watch with no doubt Cristiano Ronaldo being the highest scorer for the side with 10.

Slovakia
Slovakia fended off the challenge of Luxembourg to grab the second spot behind Portugal. Only losing to the Selecao in their qualifying group and picking up seven victories helped them clinch the automatic qualifying places for Euro 2024. The only draw came against Luxembourg in the campaign opener. This will be Slovakia’s third participation as an independent nation having qualified for the tournament from 1960 to 1992 as part of Czechoslovakia.
