One-time champions West Indies Women are ready for their journey at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced the 15-member full squad for the tournament on 29 August 2024.
The ninth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Although Bangladesh will play as the hosts, the tournament has been shifted to the UAE due to the tense situation in Bangladesh.
West Indies Women will start their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign from Group B, where they will face South Africa Women, Scotland Women, Bangladesh Women, and England Women.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will start with two groups with five teams in each group. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
West Indies Women's records in the previous ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournaments
West Indies Women reached five consecutive Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals from 2010 to 2018. However, they won only one semi-final in the 2016 edition, after which they became the only team to beat Australia Women in a Women’s T20 World Cup final. So, West Indies Women won the trophy in the 2016 edition.
