Arjuna Award winner Satwiksairaj Rankireddy now holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest badminton hit by a male player. The 22-year-old Indian shuttler stunned with his record-breaking shot of 565 km/h (351.07 mph).

Satwiksairaj’s latest Guinness World Record is the fastest badminton hit by any gender, as he recorded a smash of 565 km/h (351.07 mph).

Malaysian badminton player Tan Boon Heong was the previous Guinness World Record holder of the fastest badminton hit (men) with 493 km/hour in May 2013. Satwiksairaj broke that record almost a decade later.

Both Satwiksairaj and Tan attempted to achieve their respective Guinness World Records at a gymnasium at the Yonex Tokyo Factory in Soka, Saitama, Japan, on April 14, 2023. Both shuttlers used NANOFLARE 1000 Z rackets, which were produced by Yonex Co., Ltd.
