The star Indian men’s doubles partners Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won their first BWF World Tour 2024 title by securing their second French Open trophy.


Seeded and top-ranked men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty didn’t lose a single game in the entire French Open 2024, which was the part of Super 750 level in the BWF World Tour 2024.

Last Sunday (10 March), in the French Open 2024 Final, Sat-Chi faced the Chinese Taipei duo Lee Jhe-Huei and Yang Po-Hsuan. The Indian men’s doubles partners won that Final by 21-11; 21-17.


Earlier in the Semi-final, Sat-Chi beat South Korean Kang Min-hyuk and Seo Seung-jae (21-13; 21-16).


Previously, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty partnership won the French Open 2022 men’s doubles after beating the Chinese Taipei partners Lu Ching-yao and Yang Po-han in the Final (21-13; 21-19). They also finished as the runners-up in the French Open 2019.


The French Open 2024 title was the first success this calendar year for the world no.1-rank men’s doubles shuttlers Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. Earlier, they finished as the runners-up in the Malaysia Open 2024 (Super 1000) and India Open 2024 (Super 750).

Semi-final: vs Kang Min-hyuk and Seo Seung-jae (South Korea): 21-13; 21-16

Final: vs Lee Jhe-Huei and Yang Po-Hsuan (Chinese Taipei): 21-11; 21-17
