This is one of the biggest dream matches that is left in WWE and all the fans were hoping to see this match since the time Edge returned at Royal Rumble 2020 and he had a great collision with AJ and since that time it has been hoped that these two legends will face each other sometime soon. After that Royal Rumble the paths of both these superstars were very different and they could not have a match but as they say destiny is a funny thing and at the biggest stage at WrestleMania they will face each other for the first time.
The fans however did not anticipate that they will get to see the Edge that they have been seeing since the last month or so when he viciously attacked AJ Styles and hit not one but two conchs airtos and injured him. The fans have been eating it all up and WrestleMania Sunday can’t come soon enough. Let’s do a preview of this highly anticipated dream WrestleMania match.
Looking back at their careers -AJ Styles
Before we look into this particular match at WrestleMania, it is only right that we dive into the careers of both these legends which had raised the expectations of all the fans and made this a dream match for everyone. They both have been in the wrestling business for over 20 years and both of them have everything that there is to be done in professional wrestling. AJ Styles has been a star wherever he has wrestled, be it TNA where he was the World Champion and the biggest star of that company and he made TNA big and then he left and went to NJPW where he became the IWGP Champion and he was the best wrestler in the world and when he came to WWE and in six years had achieved almost everything there is.
Looking back at their careers – Edge
Edge has always been a WWE guy since the start of his wrestling run and he started in 1998 and he was first a tag team wrestler with Christian and they along with the Hardy Boys and the Dudley Boys were the three greatest tag teams of all time. Then Edge went on his own and was extremely successful as a singles star as he won the WWE championship a number of times as well as he won the first ever Money in the bank match and he invented the TLC match and he has had great WrestleMania matches against everyone and for him to come back after 10 years out of this and be better than before is a testament to his greatness.
The Build to WrestleMania
Edge was calling out the roster so that someone will face him at WrestleMania and after a few weeks AJ Styles answered the challenge and everyone was happy but immediately Edge took a dark turn and assaulted AJ Styles very bad and hit him with two conchs airtos as we previously discussed. After that AJ Styles was out and Edge came out totally different with the dark lighting and new music and cutting heel promos and this week on Raw AJ Styles returned and he faced Seth Rollins to keep his match against Edge but Edge helped him and Seth lost again. This might be the best match all weekend and maybe even match of the year.
