There was always a demand from the wrestling fans in London and the UK but it has not been possible for logistical reasons and to have the biggest show of the year in front of so many fans while bringing all the equipment with them is hard and the WWE fans accepted it but something changed this year. AEW are running a sold out show at Wembley where they have sold over 65,000 tickets for the show and it instantly has become their highest attended show of all time and this record is set to not be broken.
Naturally WWE thought that if our biggest rival can run their biggest show then they can also tease WrestleMania happening in London and John Cena came out at Money in the Bank and he teased WrestleMania happening in London.

So, let’s look at the reasons why WrestleMania should happen in London:
Some of the most passionate fans in the world
It is no secret that the fans in London are some of the most passionate WWE fans in the world and they have been for the past number of decades going way back to 1992 when SummerSlam was held in the UK and they had to wait 30 years for another event to be held in the UK as Clash at the castle was held in Cardiff and more than 62,000 fans filled the stadium. And at Money in the bank the 19000 fans made all the noise and WWE have seen that and thus WWE have to reward the most passionate wrestling fans and the atmosphere for that WrestleMania will be something special and more than 200,009 fans will fill out the stadium for both nights and it will be the biggest WrestleMania of all time.

WWE will get record ticket sales and record revenue
WWE is a business and having WrestleMania in London will make all the business sense in the world as if a new Wrestling company can sell out 65,000 tickets for a show for which there have been no matches announced which is absolutely mind boggling. And they are unable to sell the arenas in the USA so it tells everyone that there will be far more ticket sales in the UK. And WWE just have to say WrestleMania is happening at the Wembley or any other stadium which holds 100,000 people and the fans will sell out both nights and sell 200,000 tickets which means multiple millions of dollars for WWE as well as sponsorship revenue.
Potential for Celebrity crossovers and the best wrestling chants in the world
In London, there will be such a huge opportunity for WWE to have celebrities involved with WrestleMania because everyone knows what WrestleMania is because of how big the event has become. WrestleMania is a pop culture event like the Super Bowl is for the NFL but WrestleMania is better and grander. Football stars like Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney, Members of the Royal family, cricket stars like Ben Stokes, Joe Root etc as well. And most importantly the chants from the fans that will be there at the stadium will be nothing like ever heard at a WrestleMania. At Money in the bank there were chants like “If you hate Roman Shoes off” , “If you hate Roman Stand up “ and some chants which were not possible for WrestleMania. They make the show so much better.
Hopefully WrestleMania will happen in London soon and will also happen in other countries like Australia, India, France, Latin America, China and so many others. All the countries deserve to host WrestleMania in the future and this will help WWE to become a more global company than it already is.
