It has been known for a year and Edge has said it himself last year that his last match will be this year and it will be at Toronto in the summer and recently WWE announced a SmackDown on August 18th in Toronto and it almost confirms the news that Edge will retire in Toronto on that night and all that remains to be seen is who will be the last opponent for Edge in his 30+ year wrestling career. It will have to be a big opponent.
There are a few WWE superstars that can have the honor and it would be a great match for Edge to end his career and to do it in front of his home fans in Toronto will be emotional for everyone involved.
So, let’s see a few WWE superstars who could be the last opponent for Edge in his retirement Match
1) John Cena
There is no doubt that this is the number 1 match that all WWE fans want to see as the last match in the career of Edge because Edge and John Cena had one of the all time great Rivalries in WWE history and they made it so personal that it blurred the lines of reality she storytelling. Both played their roles to perfection and Edge became the heel and the big WWE superstar because of this feud.

2) Randy Orton
Randy Orton will be yet another perfect opponent for Edge to have his last match because they were a great tag team as well as tag team champions and they had an incredible feud but it was during the Covid Pandemic and the fans were not able to get the best of them so it would be poetic to see one last feud between them which ended in a match and that could be the swansong for Edge in his professional wrestling career

3) Kevin Owens
Either WWE could go with familiar great rivals of Edge for his last match or they could go for someone completely new in Kevin Owens. Kevin Owens and Edge have not had a match and since both are faces and both are from Canada, it could be a way of Edge choosing Kevin Owens as his final opponent and they could have a banger of a match and Edge could end his career putting over one of the top WWE superstars today.
