SummerSlam will be the end of the long Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar feud that has been going on since WrestleMania in April so it will be 4 months that this feud has gone on for and after SummerSlam surely Cody Rhodes will have a new opponent to feud against and there are a few options that he can have a feud with and it would be great for him and he would not lose his spot or his character.

Randy Orton
This would be the perfect feud for Cody Rhodes looking at all the history that these 2 men have had in their careers. Randy Orton was a mentor to Cody Rhodes earlier in his career and he guided him when Cody Rhodes needed the most and after the match against Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton can return and he can act like a face but at the last moment he can hit Cody Rhodes with the RKO and the feud will be off to a hot start and the fans will he delighted that 2 top WWE superstars will be going against each other and Cody Rhodes would work against yet another top WWE superstar and Randy Orton will be back in WWE after more than a year out with injury.
Bray Wyatt
This name has been doing the rounds ever since the last few weeks and it is being rumored that Bray Wyatt could be the next feud for Cody Rhodes after SummerSlam. And Bray Wyatt is also one of the top WWE superstars that are there and he would also be returning after a long layoff due to illness and he would also want to stamp his authority on the WWE yet again. Cody Rhodes would be able to do so much with Bray Wyatt and when Bray returns he should come back in his Wyatt Family persona and then the promo battles between the 2 would be absolutely legendary.
Finn Balor
Finn Balor has a match for the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam and it is looking more likely that Finn Balor will win the World Heavyweight Championship at the event because as Seth Rollins himself revealed that he has been nursing a back injury since a few years and he needs surgery so he should go and get himself fully fit and come back better than ever and then Cody Rhodes could feud with Finn Balor and the Judgement Day and they could also do some magic together and Cody Rhodes could fight for the World Heavyweight Championship and Finn Balor would get a worthy opponent.
