This is a question that a lot of WWE fans across the world are asking themselves after the successful Clash at the Castle event last week. Last evening, Triple H highlighted the success of the PPV and asked the question: Where should WWE go next?
And since I’m a big WWE fan I am here to list a few countries that WWE should go to in the near future. There are millions of fans of WWE across multiple nations, and all of them will be delighted to host WWE.
Before we talk about the list of nations, the UK event last week had more than 60,000 fans turning up at the Principality Stadium In Cardiff, Wales. The UK has set a high bar for all the other countries, even the USA. The current all-time attendance record holds the USA with Wrestlemania 32, drawing a crowd of 101,763 fans inside the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
WWE broadcasts in more than 180 countries in 30 languages and can be seen in 1 billion households worldwide each week. US Sports streaming trends show that approximately 11 million fans watched it in the United States. India is currently the biggest fanbase for WWE outside the USA.
So let’s try to make a list of 5 nations where WWE should do a PPV in the near future. Please share your opinion about the other nations apart from this list that should host a WWE PPV.
India
The first one is a no-brainer as WWE is the second most popular sport in India after cricket. WWE gives a lot of importance to India as well as having wrestlers from India be the World Heavyweight Champions or even the WWE champion. However, they have never held a PPV event, and they should do it soon as they now have the 132,000-seater Narendra Modi Stadium, where WWE can have the highest attendance ever seen. Interestingly, WWE has more fans in India than in the US and UK combined.
Australia
The second country WWE should revisit is Australia because when WWE did a PPV there in 2018 at the MCG, more than 70,000 fans turned up. It has been far too long since WWE has been to Australia, and the fans there would love to see a new event taking place in their country. WWE is hugely popular, and a lot of wrestlers come from Australia, like Rhea Ripley, Buddy Murphy, The Iconics, etc, and a PPV in Australia can bring them more media exposure.
China
China is also a hot market for WWE, and there are a lot of WWE fans there as well who want to see a WWE PPV happening. Xia Li is the most prominent superstar from China, and if WWE decides to hold a PPV there, they have venues where more than 80,000 fans can gather and participate in a spectacle. Chinese fans deserve to see their favorite WWE superstars in live action.
Scotland
Wales and England already got their WWE events, but Scotland is still waiting. WWE needs to reward the Scottish fans for their loyalty! Scottish sports fans are known as some of the best in the world, and they will definitely match the energy seen at the WWE event in Wales. What’s more, Scotland has its own WWE start we all want to see perform at home like Drew McIntyre, Nikki A.S.H., and Duofrop.
Spain
The fifth nation on my list is Spain, as there are millions of Spanish WWE fans, and WWE has a dedicated Spanish show before every WWE PPV. They should definitely visit Spain and give their Spanish superstars the opportunity to perform in front of their home fans. With the Camp Nou and the Santiago Bernabeu as venues that could hold more than 90,000 WWE people, the Spanish fans will give WWE a show to remember.
What do you think of my choice of top WWE countries? Is your country on the list? Let us know your thoughts!
