Which brand won the WWE Draft 2023?

The WWE Draft is in the books and both Raw and Smackdown have stacked up their rosters with some incredible talent in all areas of the WWE divisions. After the Draft the fun part is to look at both the rosters and analyze them and see which is the better roster. And this time the WWE Draft was truly game changing as it changed the future of a lot of WWE superstars and a fair few from NXT as well were drafted.

In this article the women’s divisions of both the rosters will be looked at , then the tag team division will be analyzed as well as the men’s division.

So, let’s get to the topic at hand:

The Women’s Division

The Women’s division of both the shows was one of the most important parts of the roster and both the shows will be judged based on the caliber of women they have on their rosters. And there is a clear winner this time when it comes to the women’s division. The Raw Women’s division has the likes of Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Candice Lerae, Indi Hartwell from NXT, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter from NXT, Natalya, Nikki Cross, Piper Niven, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark. This is a good women’s division but it lacks star power and Raw will have to do a great job establishing a lot of these women.

The women’s division of SmackDown is more filled with Stars and they have way less women.  They have the likes of Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Damage Ctrl featuring Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, Lacey Evans, Shotzi. The number may look less but they have some of the greatest women of all time but Raw wins because they have way more talented women and more room for future stars.

Tag team Division

The tag team division is also very important to WWE as the better the tag teams the brand has , the better the show will be. One brand has the Undisputed WWE tag team champions so the other brand will need to introduce new tag team titles. The tag team division on Raw includes Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman and Ricochet, Alpha Academy, Imperium, Indus Sher, The Judgement Day, The New Day. They have a healthy tag team division.

On SmackDown as well the tag team division is getting better as they have The Usos, The Street Profits, Hit Row, LWO, Pretty Deadly, The Brawling Brutes and The OC. A lot of good tag teams and enough to introduce a new tag team titles. SmackDown has the better tag team division because they have more established tag teams.

Men’s Division

Finally let’s talk about the Men’s divisions of both brands and here the competition will be the toughest because both shows have been stacked up with the best talent from across the world. The main event scene as well as the mid card scene is strong on both shows. Raw has the likes of Seth Rollins, The Miz, Shinsuke Nakamura, Gunther, Matt Riddle, Finn Balor, Johnny Gargano, JD McDonagh, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, Bronson Reed, Apollo Crews. This is a great division.

On SmackDown, the men’s division is also very stacked. They have the likes of Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, Cameron Green, Edge, Grayson Waller from NXT, Karrion Kross, LA Knight, Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, Sheamus, AJ Styles, Montez Ford. SmackDown is looking to have the better men’s division at the moment but not by much.

It will be a very exciting time in WWE following WWE Backlash because that is when the new rosters will come into effect and Night of Champions will be the first PPV with the new rosters.
