1. John Cena (13 Reigns):
The face of WWE for almost 13 years has to be the number 1 on the list of most reigns as WWE champion. He was the undisputed king of WWE in the ruthless aggression era and beyond. He won his first WWE championship at WrestleMania 22 and from there , it was no looking back for the leader of the Cenation and he had legendary Rivalries with Edge, Randy Orton, Triple H among others. Whenever WWE needed a champion to rescue them out a bad situation, John Cena was the man and his longest reign as WWE champion was for a staggering 381 days and his last WWE title win came at the Royal Rumble 2017 in an absolute banger against AJ Styles.

2. Randy Orton (10 Reigns):
If John Cena was number 1 , then Randy Orton has to be number 2 on this list. As the great JBL said that if one thinks of a WWE superstar from head to toe then it would be Randy Orton. He was scary good when he first arrived in 2002 and he became the youngest WWE champion in history and as the years have gone by , Randy has only gotten better and better and more mature as well and as a result he has won 10 WWE titles and he looks in where finished. Now, he is in a mentorship role as well for the young WWE superstars and he is wrestling his best right now.

3. Triple H (9 Reigns):
Triple H is a classic example of when one first arrives, they are not an instant success but with hardwork and determination anything can be possible. In the late 90s and 2000s , triple H was unstoppable as he won WWE titles for fun against every superstar, he amped up his wrestling game and became one of the great promos as well. He was a total package and was a dependable WWE champion, his latest reign was in 2016 when he won the Royal Rumble match to win the WWE title and after that he has not wrestled much or else he could have easily added to his tally. 4. The Rock (8 Reigns):
The most electrifying man in all sports entertainment was one of the biggest WWE superstars ever but it wasn’t always this way. Like it was the case with Triple H, The Rock was first hated by all but then he revamped his character into the Rock and from there he was simply unstoppable and he was the greatest promo in the company and an incredible wrestler and his matches felt big time. He was involved in legendary rivalries with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Mick Foley and others. He last won the WWE championship in 2013 at the Royal Rumble and would eventually lose it to John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

5. Brock Lesnar (6 Reigns):
The most impressive athletic specimen ever to step foot in WWE History and from the moment he arrived, he was destined for greatness and he took little time to win his first WWE championship from the Rock at SummerSlam 2002 and again in 2014, Brock Lesnar won the WWE championship against John Cena in the most one sided match in WWE History.
