To say that the Raw 30th anniversary show was not one of the best in recent years would be an understatement. The Raw that just recently concluded was the perfect show for the Raw 30th anniversary and well as building the hype for the Royal Rumble. It was at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and more than 16,009 fans attended the show.
A lot of things happened at this show so let’s get straight to the results.
The Trial of Sami Zayn
This has to be one of the very best and most nerve racking segments in the past few years as all WWE fans were feeling the tension and were scared for Sami Zayn. Paul Heyman went full on against Sami and even presented evidence and it looked all over for Sami Zayn and who made the save, it was Jey Uso, the man who despised Sami Zayn since the start and him standing up for Sami was perfection. Roman said Sami Zayn will have to give one last test at the Royal Rumble
The Usos vs Judgement Day for Raw Tag Team Titles
This was immediately following the segment and Sami Zayn was with the Usos and as this match went along Jimmy Uso got injured in the storyline and this left the spot open for Sami Zayn to step up and he won the match for the Bloodline and retained the tag team titles. Thus he passed his first big test and now Royal Rumble awaits. This was a brilliant 45 minutes of storytelling by all people involved.
Bray Wyatt and The Undertaker in the same ring
Then LA Knight came out to cut a promo and he was berating all the legends and was asking anyone to come out and out came the biggest one then all as The Undertaker came as the American Badass and if that wasn’t enough then Bray Wyatt came to the stage and gave a Sister Abigail to LA Knight and then The Undertaker officially passed the torch to Bray Wyatt. It was truly a moment to behold
Becky Lynch and Bayley got screwed
The biggest down point for the show was the Steel Cage between Becky Lynch and Bayley that did not happen because of time cutting and the fans who were really looking forward to this match were not happy with what happened and they let their voices be heard but WWE ran an angle to setup a future match and hopefully that will be at the Royal Rumble.
Sports Entertainment at its best
Then DX came out with Kurt Angle and instantly the mood became good as they were having fun and saying their catchphrases and then Imperium came to the ring and asked for a match but the legends called for help as Seth Rollins and Street Profits came to the ring and then a good six men tag team match was held with Kurt Angle as the special guest referee and Seth and Street Profits won the match. It was a good 30 minutes of sports entertainment.
Alexa Bliss warns Bianca Belair
Then Charlotte Flair came out with Ric Flair and Bianca Belair came out and the 2 Champions had a moment before Sonya Deville asked for a match and Bianca Belair quickly beat her and after that it was Alexa Bliss who appeared on the screen and gave a warning to the champion that she should fear only Alexa Bliss and no one else.
Brock Lesnar returns and costs Bobby Lashley again
The main event was between Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship and the match was good as jith men looked good until the end of the match when Brock Lesnar returned to a huge cheer and he again cost Bobby Lashley the United States Championship and he also gave an F5 to Austin Theory who covered Bobby Lashley to retain his title. Overall it was a really fun 3 hours and now Royal Rumble 2023 awaits.
