This is a big news story that broke yesterday and it has altered the announce department of WWE both commentary and backstage interviews. A lot of fans felt that the WWE Commentary was going stale and it needed a change and the biggest change that has come in these announcements is that 2 msn booths are back and there will not be 3 person booths anymore and I think that is a good thing
There have been a lot of changes and a few people have come back to WWE as well so let’s see the new announce teams of WWE of Raw, SmackDown and NXT moving forward. And I would also love to know your views about these changes
WWE Raw
Commentary
Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves
There has been a big change in the Raw commentary team as Jimmy Smith has been fired by WWE after just a year of being in charge and frankly he was not a fit for WWE. Kevin Patrick who was formally a backstage interviewer has been promoted to be the play by play for the Raw brand and guiding him in the process will be Corey Graves and I am excited to see how they Do
Backstage Interviewers
Byron Saxton and Cathy Kelley
Here the biggest change has taken place as Byron Saxton who has been on commentary for the past number of years has taken the Backstage role and joining him is the returning Cathy Kelley who is coming back to WWE after 2 full years and I am so happy.
In Ring Announcer
Mike Rome will continue to be the in ring announcer for Raw and he is doing a great job.
WWE SmackDown
Commentary
Michael Cole and Wade Barrett
This is the commentary team that has the WWE fans the most excited because Michael Cole is the best ever and Wade Barrett has impressed everyone on commentary and he joining as the color commentator and being the heel will be av great dynamic.
Backstage Interviewers
Kayla Braxton and Megan Morant
There has been no changes made in this role as the two ladies who were in the backstage Interviewers slot are continuing in their roles and I think this is the right decision.
In Ring Announcer
Samantha Irvin will continue to be the in tjnf Announcer for SmackDown and she has been absolutely phenomenal in the time she has been doing this and I want to see her for years.
WWE NXT
Commentary
Vic Joseph and Booker T
There has been a huge change made to the NXT commentary team as Vic Joseph will be there but joining him will be a 6 time World Champion and 2 time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and this is a huge get for NXT having such a legend in their brand.
Backstage Interviewer
McKenzie Mitchell
She will continue to be the Backstage role for NXT and there was no need to change her as she is doing a terrific job in her role.
In Ring Announcer
Alicia Taylor will continue to be the in ring announcer for NXT and there is frankly no one better than her at this role so it’s a great thing and hopefully she will get promoted in the next changes.
