WWE Day 1 is a brand new Pay Per View event from the WWE that they will hold for the first time on January 1,2022 at Atlanta. It is also the first PPV event for 2022 and it looks like WWE is going all out to ensure that is is a memorable one for the fans.
WWE Day 1 has the possibility of being one of the best PPV events for WWE in a really long time as the match card till now is very promising and the potential matches that can be added , they also look like show stealers. So ,let’s see the match card till now and predict what other matches can be added to the show.
1. Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (WWE Universal Championship):
This is a rematch from the great match they had at Crown Jewel in October, that match was a fast paced match and it was entertaining for the fans as well but the finish of that match was not clean and thus we have a rematch at Day 1. Again this will be a great match between these two legendary pro wrestlers and I think that again there will not be a clean finish and the culmination will happen in the main event of WrestleMania.
2. Big E vs Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens (WWE Championship):
This is a dream match for all wrestling fans as Three Amazing wrestlers will have a triple threat match between them for the first time. Big E has been a great WWE champion and both Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens will try to take the title from him. I think Big E will retain his title and take it to WrestleMania.
3. The Usos vs New Day (SmackDown Tag Team Championship):
This is one more match between two of the best tag teams in WWE right now. The Usos and The New Day always have amazing tag team matches and this one will be no different. I think the Usos will retain as the Bloodline is the main storyline across WWE.
4. Edge vs Miz:
This is a traditional wrestling match between two legends of WWE and it is a simple yet gripping rivalry about respect. Both Edge and Miz are great talkers and simply by their promo work they have made people excited for their match. I think Edge will win the match.
Potential matches
1. Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan (Raw Women’s championship):
The recent match that they had on Raw was a classic match and Liv Morgan shone in that match but Becky cheated to win so Liv deserves a rematch and I think it will happen at Day 1 and I think Liv will win the title at the PPV.
2. Charlotte Flair vs Toni Storm (SmackDown Women’s championship):
This match is destined to happen at this PPV as both have been feuding for a while now and they will have a great match at the PPV and Charlotte will win that match.
3. RKBro vs The Mysterios (Raw Tag Team Championship):
This is another dream match for all WWE fans as they will get to see legends like Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton and great young talents like Riddle and Dominik Mysterio go at it and I think RKBro will win this match.
