We are at the end of the year and I have to say that this was a great year for WWE in terms of match quality and the wrestlers have went out of their way to make sure that the fans get the best of the best Matches and so choosing the Top 5 WWE Matches of the year was a hard task but hopefully my list will be similar to everyone’s. I would like our readers to compile their lists as well.
Before we talk about my Top 5 WWE Matches of the year , I want to say that 2022 has been the biggest and craziest year in WWE in quite some time as we saw the biggest change behind the scenes as Triple H took control of creative control and In the last 5 months we have seen drastic improvement in match quality. So, let’s get to our Top 5 WWE Matches of 2022
Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins – WrestleMania 38
These 2 wrestlers have 2 Matches in this list and the first is the one that they had at WrestleMania this year when Seth Rollins was waiting for his opponent and then Cody Rhodes returned to a monster pop and the wrestling world lost its mind and they had one of the best WWE matches all year and it was worthy of being at WrestleMania. Cody Rhodes got the win and it was an all time classic.
Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair – WrestleMania 38
This is the second match that I have chosen from WrestleMania 38 because I think this was one of the best women’s matches of the year and both Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair were out there to have one of the best WrestleMania matches of all time nd reg delivered the goods and it was a match that will be remembered for years and years.

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar – SummerSlam 2022
When this match was announced it was met with sadness and despair but little did we know what Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar had planned for us at SummerSlam. It was one of the craziest and greatest last man standing Matches of all time. The stuff that they pulled out was insane especially Brock Lesnar coming in a tractor and then during the match he used the tractor to lift the ring and in the end Roman Reigns won the match and the carnage was over.
Gunther vs Sheamus – Clash at the Castle
For a lot of fans this was their best match of the year and hype around this match was insane as the fans expected a classic but what we got was way beyond anyone could have imagined. We got the best match in the career of Sheamus and the most physical WWE match in a long time. The fans were losing their minds and we got a 23 minute all time classic 5 star match.
Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins – Hell in a Cell
This is the 5th match of this list and this is probably the match that moved the fans the most and that is because Cody Rhodes got injured days before the match as there was speculation that he would miss the match but he insisted that he will compete and when he came out and showed his wound then the world was shell shocked at how severe the injury was but the match that they had was out of this world and Cody Rhodes earned the respect of everyone and he won at the end.
