Continuing with our best SummerSlam Matches list it is time to talk about the main man in WWE who is in charge of creative these days and that is Triple H and he is also another superstar who has had some incredible Matches at this event for a number of years and he had left an impact on this show. Triple H was a mainstay in WWE for decades and that meant he was always involved in big matches at this event and he delivered most of the times and it’s great enough to make a Top 5 list for the man. I love Triple H and his method of Wrestling which is safe and yet great.

Now before we get to the Top 5 list I have to talk about the different opponents he has had incredible matches with and that shows that he was adaptable to all types of Wrestlers opposite him and he was willing to impart his knowledge to all types of young wrestlers who wanted it in the match. So, let’s see the Top 5 Best Triple H Matches at SummerSlam.


Triple H vs Shawn Michaels – SummerSlam  2002

This is the best match in the SummerSlam career of Triple H and it came against his best friend Shawn Michaels and this was the first match that Shawn Michaels had in 4 years after his early retirement. It was a Unsanctioned Street fight and these 2 stole the show that night by having a incredible 30 minutes match and they were brutal towards each other and blood was also spilt in this match and Triple H showed in this match that he was an amazing professional wrestler. This was the moment that fans saw Triple H in a different light.


Triple H vs The Rock- SummerSlam 1998

This was another great match that Triple H had at this event and this was in 1998 and it was against The Rock and at that time both of these men were at the top of WWE. This was a Ladder  match for the Intercontinental Championship and they stole the show and although there was outside interference it was a great 23 minutes match and Triple H beat The Rock and won the Intercontinental Championship for the second time in his career.


Triple H vs The Rock vs Kurt Angle & SummerSlam 2000

This was one of the best main events of SummerSlam of all time in 2000 and it featured three of the best in ring talents in WWE at that point and they went out there and had a match that the fans enjoyed very much and these 3 beat the hell out of each other and for 22 minutes they battled it out and Kurt Angle was out of the match due to concussion, he would cost Triple H the WWE championship and it was an instant classic and still fondly remembered to this day.


Triple H vs Brock Lesnar- SummerSlam 2012

This was the year that Brock Lesnar returned to WWE and at SummerSlam he had a match against Triple H and this was one of the very best No Disqualification matches in the modern era as both of these heavy hitters went out there and destroyed each other and entertained the fans in the process and for 20 minutes they produced one of the best Matches in SummerSlam matches of the past decade and one which both Brock Lesnar and HHH look back fondly at.


D Generation X vs The Legacy – SummerSlam  2009

This is one of the best tag matches in the career of Triple H and it happened in 2009 and it was a great feud between Triple H and Randy Orton and they were the leaders of their factions and this was a banger in the best sense as these great wrestlers knew what to do on that might and they went out and Entertained the thousands of fans who had come to watch them live and die 18 minutes they were amazing and in the end DX picked up the win over Legacy and all the fans were sad that the Match ended.
