1) SHAWN MICHAELS Vs. KURT ANGLE - WRESTLEMANIA 21
“The whole match was like an action movie, No Boring moments.”
Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle are two of the greatest WWE superstars of all time, so when the fans came to know about this blockbuster match, the fans knew we were going to get something exceptional.
The match was mostly in control of Angle, who was smashing HBK all over throughout the entire match. Angle was destroying the Sweet Chin Music and trapped Michaels in an ankle lock that made HBK tap out. WrestleMania 21 gave us a lot of great moments, but Angle and HBK were the best match.
2) HARDY BOYS Vs. THE DUDLEY BOYZ Vs. EDGE & CHRSTIAN - WRESTLEMANIA 17
The Triple Threat Ladder Match stole the show in 2000, but, at that time no one knows, it would become one of the greatest matches in WWE history. All three tag teams battle really hard to win the match and created some of the most risk-taking matches ever seen in professional wrestling
Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. It seems so obvious now, but before this match the fans never knew the real soul of a TLC match. At WrestleMania X-Seven, Jeff Hardy simultaneously put two men through two tables and the most known spot in the match came when Edge speared Jeff Hardy, who was hanging from the championship belt almost 16 feet in the air. The game ended with Edge and Christian getting the win, but all three teams delivered in the classic match. One of the things that make this match unique is the fact that it was able to stand out on what people call the greatest WrestleMania of all time.
3) STONE COLD Vs THE ROCK – WRESTLEMANIA 17
The attitude era’s two most favourite superstars faced each other in the main event of WrestleMania X-Seven. WWE universe know this match as the end of the Attitude Era. The Rock and Austin (Stone Cold) knew how to impress the fans and tell a story in the ring because, as a fan, it felt like we were watching two superstars of wwe who wants to be the number one wrestler.
In this match, we got to see Austin have to work really hard and he even use the million-dollar dream move from when he was going by the Ringmaster. But, The Rock wasn’t going to make it easy for Steve Austin. He made sure that Austin worked for the win. At the end of the match, we saw something that we taught we would never see in the WWE, and that is Mr. McMahon helping Austin win the match and then shaking hands with each other. This was not expected by the many fans back then, but the question now because it really wasn’t needed.
4) CM PUNK Vs JOHN CENA - MONEY IN THE BANK 2011
"The only match I've ever watched that made me shouting as if both wrestlers are listening to me. The outcome could not be predicted by anyone. The crowd, the love for Punk and the hatred for Cena. The ending was classic, not a single error by either man, perfect match."
The duo went back and forth for a couple of minutes before John Cena took control of the match. John Cena delivered two Attitude Adjustments, but CM Punk recovered soon. The 'Best in the World' punched Cena's ribs, causing him to fall out of the ring. As CM Punk rolled John Cena back into the ring, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis emerged to distract CM Punk. John Cena saw an opening and placed CM Punk in his STF hold.
Vince McMahon then signalled referee to award Cena the match, but John Cena got out and attacked Laurinaitis. After John Cena returned to the ring, CM Punk delivered the Go to Sleep (GTS) and pinned him to win the WWE Championship. McMahon then called Money in the Bank winner Alberto Del Rio to cash in his contract on CM Punk. But, CM Punk performed a roundhouse kick on Del Rio, saving his championship. After blowing a kiss to Vince McMahon, CM Punk fled the arena and left the company as WWE Champion.
5) SHAWN MICHAELS Vs THE UNDERTAKER – WRESTLEMANIA 25
Two of WWE’s most incredible superstars from an era that changed professional wrestling forever put on the most excellent WrestleMania match of all time at WrestleMania 25.
"Nothing can top this match ever." The match that HBK and Undertaker delivered was the instant classic wrestling fans expected it to be.
This match has everything from near falls, high spots, crowd manipulation, and facial expressions from both wrestlers that showed great storytelling. The finish of this match was the most incredible wrestling finish ever because HBK would launch himself off the top rope with a moon salt and fall right into the Undertaker so that he could set up one final Tombstone that would end the match.
