This is a topic that is a personal favorite of mine and as a lifeless WWE fan it makes me really happy to discuss this topic with my readers who I am sure are also big WWE fans like me. Before this year the number of stadium shows was only limited to 1 per year in the past with WrestleMania being the big one but as WWE grew in popularity and it’s revenue was high then they took chances by having a stadium show at the MCG in Australia and it sold out with over 70,000 fans attending the event, then they signed a 10 year deal with Saudi Arabia for 2 big shows a year and until now all the shows have been housefull so the confidence grew.
As I was saying that from 2018 WWE started doing more regular stadium shows but in different countries and they were yet to doa btif stadium show for their US shows but they broke that with the Royal Rumble from 2019 and it has been a regular since then and than last year they held SummerSlam at a big stadium and it sold more than 60,000 tickets. So, let’s see the full incredible slate of stadium shows for WWE in 2022.
Stadium Shows that have taken place in 2022
Royal Rumble 2022 (The Dome at America’s center)
This was the first big stadium show of this year for WWE and it was in St Louis and it is generally not a big Wrestling town but they flocked the show and almost 45,009 fans filled the stadium and made a lot of noise throughout especially when their hero Randy Orton came out in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Now I think WWE should hold the Royal Rumble in front of more than 60,000 capacity stadiums and the fans will fill those too.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 (Jeddah Superdome)
The Elimination Chamber PPV is not traditionally held in a stadium but WWE changed that this year and no better country to do it than in Saudi Arabia where there are thousands of big WWE fans who will fill the Jeddah Superdome for this show and that’s what happened. More than 33,000 fans flocked the Superdome for Elimination Chamber and automatically it became an important PPV and likely WWE will do every Elimination Chamber PPV in Saudi Arabia in the coming years as well.
WrestleMania 38 (AT&T Stadium)
Now we will talk about the biggest WrestleMania of all time with more than 1,56,000 fans attending the shows on both nights combined. This is probably the most number of people to ever attend a Wrestling show ever and one of the most attended sports entertainment shows ever. WWE took a big chance with a full capacity WrestleMania for 2 nights and they hit the ball out of the stadium and next year at SoFi Stadium in LA they will more than likely break this record as well.

Upcoming Stadium Shows in 2022
Money in the bank (Allegiant Stadium)
Like SummerSlam last year was the first time WWE held a Stadium show for that event, this year will be the first Money in the bank show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas which was the venue for SummerSlam last year. This is a big pint by WWE and they will have to put together a special card to sell out this show and I have full faith in then that they will be able to do it. It can easily hold 60,000 and WWE will look to fill all those seats. This will be no doubt the biggest Money in the bank PPV ever and it solidifies ita status as one of the big 5 events.
SummerSlam 2022 (Nissan Stadium)
Money in the bank will be held on 2nd July and then 4 weeks after SummerSlam will be held in an even bigger stadium and this is something which will test the crowd pulling strength of WWE and if they are able to fill both these stadiums with maximum capacity just 4 weeks from each other then it will be a staggering achievement. And they are smart because SummerSlam is a big name and fans will buy the tickets and for Money in the bank the match is so unique that the fans will want to see all the chaos live. Nissan Stadium can hold 70,000 people and WWE would want 65,000 and 5000 will be lost due to the stage.

WWE UK PPV (Principality Stadium)
The news that all UK WWE fans have wanted to hear for a long time and finally after 30 years they will get a big stadium show at Cardiff in Wales and more than 80,000 screaming fans will be present to enjoy the show and already more than 59,000 people have pre registered for tickets which is an all time company record. I am sure WWE will put on a special PPV for the loyal fans of the UK and it will be a pleasure watching live.
WWE Crown Jewel 2022
The venue for this show is not known but it is sure to be a big stadium show abs hopefully it will be more than the 22,000 fans that attended last year and WWE can go back to the 60,000 seater stadium in Riyadh and then more Saudi Arabia fans can come watch their favorite wrestlers and the last 2 Saudi Arabia shows have been awesome with as many as 3 Women’s matches in the February show so we can expect more of the same in October later this year.
