How does WWE make money various revenue sources explained

WWE is a $9.3 Billion company as it has been sold to Endeavor and that is the main income for WWE but there are so many other ways in which WWE makes money throughout the year. Those will be talked about below but it has to be noted that the total income of WWE over the 4 quarters of last year was $1.2 billion and that is the highest they have ever achieved.

The earnings of the last quarter were $325.3 million and the operating income was at $62.7 million. Let’s look at the revenue sources of WWE.

Television Deals

This is the main source of income for WWE every year and the last TV rights were sold to 2 different networks with USA network getting Raw for $1 Billion for 5 years and Fox Sports got SmackDown at $1 billion for 5 years. And those deals are about to expire and WWE is going into the process of getting new TV Deals for the next 5 years and the industry estimates are that they will get double the amount of the last rights. That means $400 million per year for WWE by TV rights alone.

Live Events

The live events are the heart and soul of WWE as it means the income that the fans spend by going to all the live events and shows all throughout the year and ever since 2021 July when the shows started going on the road once again, WWE has been on a roll and especially when Triple H took over. In the last quarter the income from live events was $23.8 million so for the full year it was more than $100 million.

Merchandise

Merchandise is also one of the most important sources of income for the WWE since years and this helps the WWE decide as to which WWE superstar is most beloved by the fans and they buy their merchandise and this means more money for the WWE. The income from merchandise in the last quarter was $21.6 million. The higher the merchandise money the hotter the WWE product is.

Saudi Arabia Shows

One of the newest sources of income for WWE are the Saudi Arabia shows which have been started by WWE from 2018 and till now a total of 8 shows have been done by WWE and they get $50 million per show so WWE has made $400 million till date and the deal is till 2027. And the way the Saudi Arabia fans have responded to those shows the WWE will extend the deal and make more money.
