Indian Premier League (IPL) is very famous for its fierce teams and marvellous batting performances from players of different teams. While the tournament is moving smoothly towards completing its two decades, we have already seen some incredible batting performances, including some game-changing cameos.
Here is the list of players with the highest batting strike rate in an IPL innings (at least 25 runs).
5. Romario Shepherd (390.00)
During the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, the Caribbean cricketer Romario Shepherd produced a great match-winning cameo for MI in the first innings. Coming to bat in the 18th over, when MI scored 181/5, Shepherd smacked 39 not out off just 10 balls with a strike rate of 390.00. The right-handed batter smashed three fours and four sixes in that blistering knock. His batting resulted in MI scoring 234/58, while the all-rounder won the Player of the Match after MI won by 29 runs.
4. Albie Morkel (400.00)
No true IPL fans will forget the innings of Albie Morkel of Chennai Super Kings against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2012 edition of IPL. Playing for CSK, he managed to win a nearly-lost game for CSK. Albie scored 28 runs from seven balls, including three sixes and two fours. It was against Virat Kohli that Albie Morkel made this amazing knock as Albie smashed 28 runs to Kohli in the 19th over. This innings from Albie registered a strike of 400.00 in his name.
3. Ramandeep Singh (416.66)
During the IPL 2024, when Kolkata Knight Riders faced the hosts Lucknow Super Giants, Ramandeep Singh produced a brief storm with the bat. While KKR were sent to bat first, they were batting on 200/5 in the 18th over when Singh came to the crease. He scored 25 runs not out off only six balls with the batting strike rate of 416.66. He hit one four and three sixes in that cameo. After KKR scored 235/6, LSG were bundled out for only 137 runs.
2. Shashank Singh (416.66)
During the IPL 2022, when SunRisers Hyderabad were facing Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium, SRH no.7 batter Shashank Singh scored 25 not out off just six balls with the help of one four and three sixes. He came to bat in the 19th over where SRH scored 161/5. His batting strike rate was 416.66 which guided SRH to score 195/6. However, ultimately, Gujarat Titans won that battle by five wickets after chasing the target on the final ball with a sixer.
1. Chris Morris (422.22)
In the 2017 season of IPL playing for Delhi Daredevils, South African cricketer Chris Morris played some marvellous innings. One of those innings was against now-defunct team Rising Pune SuperGiant. In that match against RPS, Morris scored 38 not out off nine deliveries with the help of four fours and three sixes. That knock by Morris gave him a strike rate of 422.22. It is the record strike rate in an IPL innings in this list.
