There's a fair chance Erling Haaland will join one of Europe's major teams next summer, after a protracted wait from Borussia Dortmund. The January transfer window is here, but instead of worrying about who will move to where this month, the rumor mill is still fixated on Erling Haaland's future and where he will play next season.
He has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 19 goals and assisting five times in 16 games, and it appears that every club in Europe is desperate to get him this summer. With so many clubs interested in signing the young striker, which clubs are in the forefront to bring him in the summer? Let’s find out.
1. Manchester City
Manchester City could make a move for Erling Haaland, who is expected to cost a transfer fee of more than €100 million. They have a lot of money, seasoned management, and they play in the Premier League. And, of course, a center-forward is required. They are playing effectively without a striker, but Haaland might make them even more dangerous. Man City is currently the only team in Europe with the financial resources, sporting excellence, and attractive league to tick all of Haaland's boxes.
2. FC Barcelona
Barcelona have been struggling this season and are in Europa League. But with Xavi’s arrival and the team in a good position to qualify for the Champions League next season, they are in a strong position to lure Haaland. Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, has a good relationship with his agent, Mino Raiola, and this could be a massive boost for the Catalans. The club's financial predicament, however, may prevent them from making an offer for this excellent striker. Due to the club's requirement to comply with La Liga financial fair play laws, the Spanish giants had to ask key players to take wage cuts in the summer, while new arrivals Dani Alves and Ferran Torres are still to be officially registered.

3. Real Madrid
The Spanish giants are pursuing French wonder Kylian Mbappe, but if they are unable to complete the transfer, Erling Haaland will serve as a fallback alternative. Real Madrid has demonstrated that they are still a force to be reckoned with in the transfer market by pursuing Kylian Mbappe. Despite reports that Madrid's finances are in disarray, the club has saved a significant amount of money through cost-cutting in the summer window and may have enough pay budget to recruit both Mbappe and Haaland next season.
4. Paris Saint-Germain
PSG will be without a superstar striker next summer if Kylian Mbappe leaves for Real Madrid, which appears to be the case. The profile of Haaland would be great for feeding Neymar and Lionel Messi. PSG has the financial clout to make such a deal, as well as a close working connection with Mino Raiola.

5. Chelsea
Rather than waiting for Haaland, Chelsea appears to have put their faith in Romelu Lukaku. In a team, the two would most certainly be too incompatible. If Lukaku fails to improve his play in the second half of the season - following an embarrassing apology for an ill-advised interview - the London club may decide to cut their losses with him sooner than planned, with Roman Abramovich potentially sanctioning another summer blockbuster deal.
