Zimbabwe Highest Individual Scores in ODI | Zimbabwe Cricket Team Records

Despite not having huge success in international cricket, Zimbabwe is very popular in the cricket world, majorly for their fighting and never-give-up attitude.

The Zimbabwe national cricket team, also known as the Chevrons and on 21 July 1981, Zimbabwe became an associate member of the ICC. Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the ICC since 1992.

Zimbabwe played it's first ODI match against the Australia on 9th june, 1983.

Highest ODI scores by Zimbabwean batters (Top 10)

Once Zimbabwean cricketer Charles Coventry was jointly holding the record for the highest individual score in ODI history (along with Saeed Anwar’s 194 vs India at Chennai on 21 May 1997) with his 194 not out against Bangladesh at Bulawayo in 2009. However, Coventry surpassed Anwar in that list due to ending that innings in a not-out.  

Coventry still holds the record for the highest ODI score by a Zimbabwean cricketer.

Zimbabwean batters haven’t recorded an ODI 150 outside the home. Their highest ODI score outside the home is 145 not out by Brendan Taylor vs South Africa at Bloemfontein in 2010.

All-rounder Sikandar Raza recorded the fastest ODI century for Zimbabwe when he smashed a 54-ball century against Netherlands at Harare during the Group A match in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023.

Sean Williams is the record holder for the fastest ODI 150 by a Zimbabwe batter. He scored an 87-ball 150 against USA at Harare on 26 June 2023.
