The AEW Women’s World Championship is the second most important title in the company after the AEW World Championship. The women in AEW have not always got the best opportunities but times are changing for the better with each passing month. Currently the company has a very diverse and stacked women’s division. The AEW Women’s World Championship was first earned on 2nd October 2019 so it has been 5 years+ into the championship.

List of all the AEW Women’s Champions in History

Riho- Champion for 133 Days

The first AEW Women’s Champion was the uber talented Riho who won the title on the very first episode of AEW Dynamite on 2nd October 2019. She was champion for 133 days.


Nyla Rose – Champion for 101 Days

The second Women’s Champion in AEW was Nyla Rose. She won the title on 12th February 2020 at  AEW Dynamite and she held the championship for 101 days.


Hikaru Shida – Champion for 372 Days

The next Women’s Champion was Hikaru Shida and she was one of the longest champions in  history at 372 days. She won the title on 23rd May 2020 at Double or Nothing. She held the title for more than a year.


Britt Baker – Champion for 290 Days

At Double or Nothing 2021 on 30th May 2021, Britt Baker won the AEW Women’s Championship. She was the champion for 290 days which was a long reign and during that time she became a much better wrestler.


Thunder Rosa – Champion for 172 Days

Thunder Rosa was the next woman to win the title and she won it on 16th March 2022 at Dynamite. She was the champion for 172 days and she had incredible matches for the title.


Toni Storm – Champion for 76 Days

The first time Toni Storm won the AEW Women’s Championship was on 4th September 2022 at All Out. She was not the character she is now and she was the champion for 76 Days.


Jamie Hayter – Champion for 190 Days

Jamie Hayter was the next superstar to win the Women’s Championship. She was the champion for 190 days and she won it on 19th November 2022 at Full Gear. Jamie Hayter has become one of the best women wrestlers in the company.


Toni Storm – Champion for 66 Days

The first woman to win the AEW Women’s Champions twice in her career was Toni Storm. She won her second title on 28th May 2023 at AEW Double or Nothing. She was the champion for 66 Days.


Hikaru Shida – Champion for 25 Days

Hikaru Shida also won her second title in AEW but this time she was the champion for only 25 days. She won the championship on 2nd August 2024 at Dynamite 200.


Saraya- Champion for 44 Days

At AEW All in 2023 at the Wembley Stadium on 27th August 2023, the hometown hero Saraya won her first AEW World Championship. She was the champion for only 44 days.


Hikaru Shida – Champion for 39 Days

Hikaru Shida became the first woman to win the AEW Women’s title 3 Times. This reign was also short like her second one. She won the title on 10th October 2023 and was champion for only 39 days.


Timeless Toni Storm – Champion for 281 days

This is one of the best characters in the whole of AEW and Toni Storm won her 3rd AEW Women’s Championship on 18th November 2023 at Full Gear. She held the reign for 281 days. 


Mariah May - Champion for 173 days and counting

Mariah May is the current women’s AEW Champion. She won the championship on 25th August 2024 in AEW All in defeating Toni Storm.
