In an IPL Mega Auction there are bound to be a lot of players who will go unsold. However in this mega auction for IPL 2025, the list of big players that went unsold was staggering. There were a total of 575 players up for grabs and a little more than 180 players were sold.

He has scored 6565 runs with 60 half centuries and 4 hundreds. David Warner was the winning captain when Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL in 2016. This is the end of a glorious era in IPL cricket. 2) Prithvi Shaw
Prithvi Shaw is only 25 years old and for him to go unsold is not a good sign for his career in Cricket. He was one of the brightest prospects in international cricket along with Shubhman Gill. Gill has found a place in the Indian team in all 3 formats and is the captain for the Gujarat Titans. His base price was also 75 Lakhs. He has to perform at the domestic level and maybe in the next mini auction he will find a team. He has played 79 Matches and he has scored 1892 runs with 14 half centuries. He had a strike rate of 147.47.
3) Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Mujeeb Ur Rahman is one of the best spinners in T20I Cricket. He was the latest spinner after Rashid Khan that was playing in the IPL. He was playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. For him getting unsold is a shocker because he was in his prime. Afghanistan are one of the top international teams. Mujeeb Ur Rahman has played 19 IPL Matches and he has taken 19 Wickets.
4) Mayank Agarwal
Another Indian batter who went unsold at the IPL Auction was Mayank Agarwal. He has been in the IPL since its inception. Mayank Agarwal is a player who has played 127 IPL Matches. He has made 266@ runs at a strike rate of 133.05. He has hit 13 half centuries and 1 score of 106. It looks like Mayank Agarwal has come to the end of his IPL career with him going unsold in the mega auction.
5) Piyush Chawla
Piyush Chawla may not look like a big name but the impact and the success he has had in the IPL has been incredible. Piyush Chawla has won the IPL with KKR in 2014 where he hit the winning runs. He has played 192 IPL Matches in his career. Piyush Chawla has taken 192 IPL Wickets which is among the Top 3 Highest Wicket Takers in IPL history. He could have been picked as an impact sub. It looks like Piyush Chawla will not be playing anymore IPL Matches.
