The Fantasy Premier League is back after the international break. There are some big games this weekend and FPL picks should be made accordingly. There’s also the fact that the Champions League is knocking on the door yet again and certain teams will surely make changes to adapt to the filled schedules. The Premier League is getting more and more unpredictable with Manchester City losing their last game against Wolves in a clean sheet. Current FPL players might feel like they’re walking on eggshells but there are some players who have been contributing consistently. Without further ado, let’s look at some of the best picks for GW 9.

#1. Callum Wilson (FWD; Bournemouth):

The Englishman has been in stellar form with a total of 8 direct contributions (5 goals and 3 assists). He’s one of the toppers in FPL when it comes to points and he’s only £7.9 million, making him an incredible bargain. Combine that with the fact that his team is up against 19th placed Norwich City, a team that initially showed promise with Pukki and Cantwell but it slowly faded. It’s highly likely that he’ll score big points in the weekend.

#2. Ricardo Pereira (DEF; Leicester City):

Aside from Liverpool at the top, Leicester City is the team that has conceded the least no. of goals (7;tied with others). Ricardo Periera and his team have been in brilliant form, winning 3 out of their last two matches, currently sitting at the 4th position. Pereira has even scored 2 goals so far. He’s also had 2 assists and he’s only going for £6.2 million. Periera could possibly clinch more points in the upcoming game against Burnley.

#3. Sadio Mane’ (MID; Liverpool):

Mane’ is one of the top forwards in the league. He’s scored a whopping 57 points so far. Even though he’s going for £11.7 million, the star forward from Senegal is worth the hefty penny. Mane’ has made a total of 7 direct contributions so far and with the way Liverpool’s playing, it looks like even those kinds of numbers will get better. Right now, he’s up against Manchester United, a team that has been in poor form and is only 2 points away from a relegation spot. They have two of their important players, David De Gea and Paul Pogba injured out and considering Liverpool’s undefeated run, an upset is extremely unlikely. On the other hand, a brilliant showing from Mane’ is just as likely.

#4. David Silva ( MID; Manchester City):

David Silva has been playing a lot this season and has made a great no. of goal contributions (6). So far he’s made 40 points, which is even more impressive when you take into account that he’s going for only £7.6 million. Sure, Pep Guardiola has a penchant for making changes, especially now that UCL week is right around the corner but David Silva has managed to play in every game despite the UCL looming. In fact, it is more likely that he will be benched for the UCL game rather than the one against Crystal Palace. In the end, he’s a very good bargain when you take into account that he’s one of the top midfielders in FPL(in terms of points).

#5. Rui Patricio (GK; Wolves):

The Portuguese goalkeeper looks to be strong and confident after the Wolves maintained an odds-defying clean sheet win against Manchester City. That was not the only game where he shined, which is why he’s the top goalkeeper in the game currently in regards to points. He’s sitting 2 consecutive clean sheets and with his upcoming game against a rather broken Southampton, he looks to make it 3. Southampton is at 17th and the fact that they have only 7 points so far just conveys how dire it looks for The Saints. Rui Patricio would definitely be a solid pick, another reason being he’s going for £5.1 million.
