The Catalan giants have won all of their home games this season and haven’t conceded defeat in this fixture this century so it will be nothing short of a surprise if they don’t find their winning feat again.
Las Palmas are hanging over the relegation spot with two points better than 18th-place Valencia but have played two more games than them. Even further behind Espanyol has played a game less forcing Los Amarillos to establish some consistency to escape this tight race to beat the drop. It will be a challenging task for them as they travel to face the league leaders Barcelona, who have not dropped points at home since February of this year. Las Palmas have not beaten Barcelona in any competition since February 1991 or in the league since 1986. Their away record in this meeting has been more worrying with the last victory coming in 1971. Having beaten in five of the previous seven games on the road this season, the challenge is colossal.
