The Punjabi Prison Match is one of those matches which did not work in WWE and there have been only 3 that have happened so far and so it was thought that these 3 should be ranked to see which one was the worst of then all and before ranking the concept of this match will be explained to the readers because it is not an easy match to understand and this is also one of the reasons that this match has not happened so much.
This was the only match form that had an Indian origin but unfortunately this was not able to work on WWE and therefore it had to be discontinued but the legacy of this match goes on for more than 15 years so let’s rank all the matches
What is a Punjabi Prison Match?
This is a match where there were not one but two cages that were there and the wrestlers had to escape both the cages to win the match and it was not unlike the usual steel cage matches because there is only one cage but here the first cage is the size of the steel cage but there is also a second one that the wrestlers had to escape. There were no pinfalls, submission and the only way to win was to escape both cages and both feet hitting the floor.
Ranking all the 3 Punjabi Prison Matches
1) The Undertaker vs The Big Show (2006)
This was supposed to be The Undertaker vs The Great Khali but on the day of the match he was not well and his liver was tested and it was decided that he would not take part in this match but in his absence The Big Show was added to this match and they had a good match and they wrestled each other well but the absence of The Great Khali was felt and this match had no story as well and they did the best they could and The Undertaker won this match as his feet hit the floor first and this was a mixed debut for this match as the wrestling was good but the creator of this match was missing.

2) Batista vs The Great Khali (2007)
A year later it was the second Punjabi Prison Match and this one had the creator in it and it had a good story leading into this match. These two were determined to have a good match and they did and Khali held his own against the more experienced Batista and he helped Khali throughout the match and they both looked like they could win the match but it was Batista who just won the match and he won the World Heavyweight Championship and Khali was so close. It was a good advertisement but the toy that WWE bought for this match did not sell.

3) Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton (2017)
It had been 10 years since the last Punjabi Prison Match and it was great to see that this match was being brought back for the WWE Championship between Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton. Both of these wrestlers were athletic and therefore they had the best wrestling match but the finish of the match is what puts this match to the number 3 spot and they both tried their best to have a great match but in the end The Great Khali came back and he helped Jinder Mahal win the match and this finish was something that the fans did not like. They wanted a clean finish and after this match the Punjabi Prison Match has not been seen and nobody knows if it will ever be seen again.
