The last Grand Slam of the year finished early this morning today and we are here with all the results of the US Open and there were lots of new stars that were made especially in men’s tennis and women’s tennis said farewell to the greatest of all time and a new dominant force was established. This US Open was a game changing event that saw the emergence of the next generation of tennis players and the future of tennis is looking more bright than ever. I was not able to watch all of it as the time difference was too much but I am sure that especially the big 3 in men’s Tennis have found their worthy successor.
Before we talk about the detailed Results I want to say that watching Grand Slam events in tennis is a privilege and I get to watch 3 out of the 4 Grand Slams live and the quality of tennis is the best in the world. Seeing 5 set Matches going over 4 hours is not a strain to the eyes. 2023 cannot come soon enough and in January the Australian Open will come and then again we will get to enjoy tennis at the biggest stage. Let’s look at the results.
Men’s Singles
This is the event where the new young blood of tennis players showed out and told the world that we are here to take the baton from the big 3 who have ruled for over 15 years. Especially the likes of Carlos Alcaraz. Casper Rudd, Francis Tiafoe and Julius Sinner. 5 set thrillers were a common thing and the 19 year old Carlos Alcaraz had the skills and the determination to win all of those Matches. In the Quarter Final he played a match of 5 hours and 15 minutes and won that match and in the semi final he played against Francis Tiafoe and won that match in 5 sets as well and in the final against Casper Rudd he won the match 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 and 6-3 in four sets Carlos Alcaraz is the US Open champion.

Women’s Singles
If the men’s singles event was one where new stars were made then the women’s singles was where we said farewell to Serena Williams and Iga Swiatek established herself as the new dominant force. In the first 3 rounds it was all about Serena Williams and she played so well even knocking out the World number 2 in the process but in the 3rd round she was eliminated and everyone was sad. Iga Swiatek was winning matches in 2 sets but she was challenged in the semi final where Aryna Sabalenka took her to 3 sets but Iga won 3-6, 6-1 and 6-4 and in the final she beat Ons Jabeur 6-2 and 7-6 to win her 3rd Grand Slam title of her career.
Men’s Doubles
In the hype around the singles events , we forget about the doubles players but these incredible players Also deserve our respect and first we will talk about the Men’s Doubles. The team I’d Rajee. Ram and Joe Sallsbury won this event and they won the final match against Wesley Koolhof and Neel Scupski 7-6 and 7-5 to establish themselves as the best team in the world at the moment.
Women’s Doubles
Next we will talk about the women’s doubles and here it was very competitive as all the teams had the capability to win but it was the team of Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejckova who once again won the title in a 3 set thriller in the final against the home pair of Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend 3-6, 7-5 and 6-1. It was a great tournament for this pair and we will see them winning more Grand Slam titles.
Mixed Doubles
The last category that we will talk about In this Results article is the Mixed Doubles event and here it was the Australian pair of Storm Sanders and John Peers who were the superior duo byr by only just and the final against Kirsten Flipkens and Edoward Roger Vasselin was one for the ages. The score was 4-6, 6-4 and 10-7 in almost 2 hours of riveting tennis.
