Daniil Medvedev also has a similar journey to the semi final like Carlos Alcaraz as in he also won his first and second round matches in straight sets and in the 3rd round he beat Marton Fuscovics in a 4 set thriller by 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and 6-4. Then he breezed through his opponent in the 4th round and then came the quarter final which was ime of the Matches of the tournament as he took on the young American Christopher Eubanks and this was a 5 setter and Daniil Medvedev just best his opponent by 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 7-6 and 6-1.
