There has been a lot of talk about the Big 3 of tennis and rightly so because there has never been a trio in tennis history that has dominated the sport like these 3 have over almost 2 decades in tennis. Roger Federer who just recently retired has 20 Grand Slams and Rafael Nadal has 22 Grand Slams looking to add a few more and then there is Novak Djokovic who is the fittest out of the 3 and is looking to add to his 22 by a few this year.

However there will come a time when the next generation will have to take over and after the retirement of Roger Federer and the weak fitness of Rafael Nadal it is imperative that the new breed of tennis players takes it forward and there are lots of young male and female tennis players who have made a mark. 

So let’s have a look at them:


1) Daniil Medvedev


This is one of the most promising young players in the world and he has been great for a period of time and he has won a Grand Slam which was the 2021 US Open and that established him as a top level talent and Daniil Medvedev has also reached the final of the Australian Open twice in 2021 and 2022. He has recently beaten Novak Djokovic who is in prime form after winning the Australian Open. He has a win-loss record of 285 wins and 120 losses so far.


2) Carlos Alcaraz


Carlos Alcaraz is the best generation of tennis players who have come from Spain and he gas a rich legacy to take forward as he will be compared to the all time great in Rafael Nadal and that is not an easy task but Carlos Alcatraz has made a great start to his young career by winning the 2022 US Open and by winning that he became the world number 1 for some time and he will be looking for a better showing in 2023 and looking to win more Grand Slams. He has a win loss record of 98 wins and 32 losses so far in his career


3) Iga Swiatek


The best female tennis player in the world now and Iga Swiatek has been dominant for a few years and has been the world number 1 for a period of time. She has won 3 Grand Slams till now which include the 2020 and 2022 French Open and the 2022 US Open and she will only get better from here on and will look to win at least 2 Grand Slams this year as well to continue the momentum she has. Her win-loss record is 225 wins and 58 losses so far .


4) Emma Raducanu


This list will not be complete without the name of Emma Raducanu and she is a child prodigy who is facing some difficulties these days because of all the success she had so young in her career. She is already a Grand Slam champion in her teens as she won the 2021 US Open and from there she has not looked back and she has decades left in front of her and there is no doubt that she will win a lot more. Her win loss record so far is 95 wins and 46 losses .


5) Stephanos Tsitaipas


Stephanos Tsitaipas is a young player that is tk watch out for and even though he has not been able to win a Grand Slam he has shown in his fake that he has the talent and the game to win multiple Grand Slams. He has reached the final of the 2021 French Open and the 2023 Australian Open which means he is there but needs a little extra. His win loss record is 262 wins and 121 losses so far in his young career.
