We know that records are meant to be broken but there are few records which are impossible to be broken or not in the near future. Here, I have chosen 5 such records which will never be broken. Let us check out those 5 records.

Serena Williams' 23 major singles titles

We will probably never see another Serena Williams. Williams' 23 grand slam titles collected over the past two decades are the most any player has ever won since tennis turned professional in 1968.

Although Margaret Court is still the all time Grand Slam record holder with 24 major singles championships, it is worth noting that the Australian's haul between 1969 and 1973 , spanned both the amateur and professional eras. Court won 11 of her 24 titles at the Australian Open , at a time when a lot of players didn't make the trip to Down Under.

Williams' quest to equal Court after four straight losses in major finals since coming back from maternity leave will no doubt be one of the biggest storylines of 2020.

Rafael Nadal's record of French Open titles

Most players don't even win more than 13 titles in their career, let alone 13 of the same one or 13 at the same Grand Slam event.

It seems impossible to think of someone having the strength, durability and class to be able to dominate on one surface the way Nadal has done , from his first French Open win in 2005 to his most recent,in 2020.

Wherever he ends up , surely no one will beat his record on one of the most challenging surfaces in the sport.

Christ Evert's 125 match unbeaten clay court streak

From August 1973 to May 1979, Christ Evert was untouchable on clay. Had it not been for the fact that she did not play the French Open in 1976, 1977 and 1978 because she chose to play World Team Tennis instead , she might have ended up with more than her six French Open titles. Nevertheless , she was unbeatable until Tracy Austin finally got the better of her in the semi finals of Rome.

Jimmy Connors' record of 53 indoor titles

Back in Connors' day, the indoor circuit was as much a part of the overall Tour schedule as any other surface, something which made for a good contrast. Connors , perhaps the best returner of all time was the very best of the lot and his tally of 53 in the 1970s and 1980s puts him just one ahead of John McEnroe , whose serve volley style was perfectly suited for the surface.

Roger Federer has 26 indoor titles and would surely have had more had he had more opportunities but Connors will take some catching.

The longest match

It was never likely that the record for the longest match, 11 hours five minutes match between American John Isner and Nicolas Mahut of France at Wimbledon in 2010, would ever be beaten.

But now that three of the four Grand Slam events have a tiebreak in the final set , the chances are even more remote.
