2. 18 Matches - Darren Sammy

West Indies’ world cup winning captain Darren Sammy sits second in the list, having led West Indies in 18 matches. Under his leadership, West Indies won the 2012 and 2016 editions of the T20 World Cup. West Indies was the first side who have won the T20 World Cup more than once in the history of the tournament before England.


The former West Indies skipper led the team in 18 matches and had managed to win 11 and lose 5. He boasts a win percentage of 67.64.

 

3. 17 Matches - Paul Collingwood

One of the most noteworthy all-rounders England has ever delivered, Paul Collingwood made a noteworthy commitment for England cricket in all three groups. Dasun Shanaka played 16 matches as captain of Sri Lanka in T20 World Cups. He led the Sri Lankan cricket team in the 2021 and 2022 T20 World Cups. Out of which, he won 9 matches and lost 7 matches. His win percentage is 56.25.
