Juventus faced a cataclysmic season in which they finished outside the top six entirely for their off-field problems. The Bianconeri suffered two-point deductions due to a false accounting case in a big scandal that rocked them since the Calciopoli. Although the matter was settled after a hefty fine was met with the court, the on-pitch performance was greatly affected. The Turin giants ended in a Europa Conference League spot, the third-tier of European football, but their participation is in doubt after their own request of withdrawal and also after UEFA underwent their own investigation on the financial matter. In short, this was another dark period in the club’s history. The record champions will begin the 2023/24 season with concerns over their manager and board.
Adding the financial troubles, Juventus risk of going further behind the title rivals. They are expecting better times to come ahead with a squad overhaul to go by this summer. The opening game of the new season is a tricky trip to Udinese on 20th August. The game against Lazio is the first notable fixture of the campaign in September and then Atalanta in October. In the same month, AC Milan will be their opposition before facing rivals Inter in the Derby of Italy in November. Roma and champions Napoli also left to face in the last month of the year. The Giallorossi and Milan will trouble them again in March but Juventus also comparatively easier end to their season. The last three are winnable fixtures on paper with the final match coming against Monza at home on 26th May 2024.
