fpl gw7 tips top 5 forward picks for gameweek 7 premier league 2021-22

On Saturday, Gameweek 6 kicks off with Chelsea, Southampton, Leeds, and Wolves all playing at the same time. The FPL deadline approaches as the gameweek approaches, and fantasy managers are hoping to lock their teams in after the midweek cup matches. FPL Managers are gaining a better understanding of the players to pursue as the season progresses, as well as their budget options.

Many Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have long considered Gameweek 7 to be the best time to Wildcard, and many are putting their plans into action this week.

Here are our top five forward selections for Gameweek 6:

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United vs Everton) - £12.7m

Cristiano Ronaldo tops our list of best forward choices once again, a player who is making it tough for FPL managers to leave him out of the team. Starting at 12.5, the forward has already experienced a 0.2 million increase in ownership, and it will not be surprising if he reaches the 13 million barriers. He let down the millions who backed him by going scoreless against Aston Villa at home, after scoring three times in the previous two games. No attacker has had more shots (17), attempts in the box (13), on-target strikes (7), penalty area touches (25), or xG (expected goals) since his return to Old Trafford. Ronaldo, one of the most popular captaincy selections, is a must-have this week and throughout the season.

2. Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea vs Southampton) - £11.7

The Belgian striker is the outstanding captaincy pick for forthcoming matches against Southampton, Brentford, Norwich City, Newcastle United, and Burnley in over 30% of FPL teams (H). Lukaku has played every minute of his 450 minutes since joining Chelsea from Inter Milan, and while he is not immune to rotation, he has the best chance of starting more games than not. He has three goals and despite blanks against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City; the striker remains a sound choice.

3. Ivan Toney (West Ham vs Brentford) - £6.3m

Over the previous five Gameweeks, he has equaled Lukaku in goal attempts (15) and has generated more "big opportunities" than any other attacker. He'll provide assists even if he doesn't score, similar to Jimenez. Toney was scoreless in his first two games but has since scored and assisted twice, showing that he is confident in his potential to achieve 20 goals this season.

4. Michail Antonio (West Ham vs Brentford) - £7.9m

Michail Antonio was reinstated the last game week after serving a one-game suspension for a red card against Southampton. From the start of the Premier League, the striker has been one of the most in-form players. Because of his strong start to the season, he stands atop the standings despite missing one match because of suspension. Antonio started the season with three consecutive double-digit hauls before netting a late winner against Leeds United on Saturday and is the FPL forward with the most goal attempts, shots in the box, huge opportunities, efforts on target, and penalty box touches in 2021/22.

5. Raul Jimenez (Wolves vs Newcastle United) - £7.4m

Looking forward, Raul Jimenez is looking forward to playing a defensively chaotic Newcastle at the weekend, which will be the fourth of an 11-match stretch against teams below the top four from last season. His 15 shots inside the box rank third among FPL forwards, and he is also joint-top among players in his Fantasy position for chances created, so he can provide a variety of scoring options, assuming the Mexican and his teammates don't continue to waste their chances.
