It was the crucial third game of the four-match ODI series at The Oval, where both teams were looking for a series lead by making it 2-1. After New Zealand chose to field first, the left-handed English no.4 batter Ben Stokes scored the smashing 182 runs in 124 balls with the help of 15 fours and nine sixes. It will be one of the best innings of Ben Stokes ODI Career.

Stokes had a giant 199-run partnership for the third wicket with the opener Dawid Malan (96). After completing his fifty in 44 balls, Stokes reached his three-figure mark in 76 balls and completed 150 runs in 106 balls. His powerful batting helped England to manage the massive ODI total of 368 all out in 48.1 overs.
Ultimately, New Zealand were all out for 187 runs in 39 overs as the hosts won the match by 181 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
