Like we discussed in the case of the Top 5 Highest run scorers in BBL History, now we will take a look at the Top 5 Highest wicket takers in BBL History. As the BBL is ongoing right now these standings may change so we are writing this article as of the people who are the top 5 today.
There have been lots of bowlers who have taken lots of wickets in the BBL and will continue to do so for years to come. We cannot look at all of them here so let’s take a look at the Top 5 Highest wicket takers in the BBL as of today.
1. Sean Abbott (112 Wickets):
Sean Abbott just recently took the number 1 spot in this list of the Highest wicket takers in BBL History. He has been a very prolific bowler in the BBL over the years and he has played for both the teams from Sydney in the BBL. He has been one of the fastest Bowlers in BBL History consistently for a number of years and especially after his incident with Phil Hughes , to come back in such a strong manner and perform so well for so long shoes how mentally tough and how skilled he is as a bowler in the BBL. His top spot may not be for long but he certainly deserves this honour.
2. Ben Laughlin (111 Wickets):
He was the previous number 1 in this list until recently. He has been one of the very best bowlers to play in the BBL and he has performed for his teams year after year. His line and lengths are immaculate and the batters find it very difficult to play him and score runs off him. He can claim the number 1 spot in this list very soon but it will be a good battle between the two bowlers for the top slot. He also has a lot of years left in the BBL which means he will take lots more wickets.
3. Kane Richardson (107 Wickets):
Kane Richardson is one of the premier Australian bowlers at the moment and he plays a lot of cricket these days. He also has been one of the most consistent bowlers in the BBL over a long period of time and he has helped his teams win matches in the BBL. He is a very skillful bowler as well deceiving the batters with his slower deliveries and getting lots of wickets. We will see a lot more of him in the years to come in the BBL.
4. Andrew Tye (103 Wickets):
Andrew Tye is one of the slower bowler masters in the BBL. He gets most of his wickets with the slower balls and he foxes the batters so much that they are not able to read the ball and either quickly or very late play the shot and get out. He is very respected around the world and the BBL will be seeing a lot more of this great bowler and he will continue picking up lots of wickets.
5. Adam Zampa (90 Wickets):
The premier leg spinner in Australia and one of the very best bowlers in the world at the moment. He sounds the batters with his skills, guile and his immaculate lengths in the Innings. He has picked these Wickets at a great pace and he is not showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. This great leg spinner has his best years ahead of him and he will pick up more wickets in the coming years and become a legend in the BBL.
