North East Zone had another bad day in this tournament as South Zone outclassed them. After North East Zone chose to bat first, they were bundled out for 136 runs in 49.2 overs. Only Kangabam Priyojit (40) and the skipper Langlonyamba Meitan Keishangbam (23) managed to score 20+ runs in that innings.

It was a day/night thriller where West Zone won the match by one wicket with two balls remaining. After Central Zone chose to bat first, they scored 243/7 in 50 overs. While both openers failed to reach double-digit scores, Yash Dubey (49) and captain Venkatesh Iyer (43) helped to build the first innings. The lower middle-order batters Karn Sharma (44) and Shivam Mavi (47 not out) had other crucial contributions with the bats by making 40s.

Among the West Zone bowlers, only Shams Mulani (2/42) picked up more than one wicket.

After the 77-run opening partnership (between Harvik Desai and Priyank Panchal) in reply, West Zone lost their wickets at regular intervals. Desai was out after scoring 57 runs. Later, they were once struggling at 138/6.

However, the middle-order batter Atit Sheth never gave up and brilliantly fought with the lower-order batters. He also had a crucial 39-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Rajvardhan Hangargekar (24 off 12 balls). Still, they had to score 25 runs in the last 15 balls when the last-wicket partnership started. Chintan Gaja scored 11 not out in eight balls, while Atit remained not out on run-a-ball 53 runs to inspire the team to a thrilling victory.

Though off-spinner Shivam Chaudhary shined with his dominant bowling performance (10-1-18-4), Central Zone just failed to secure their first win of the tournament.
