Today is the final day of Commonwealth Games 2022 and there are 5 Gold Medals to be won by India and a bronze Medal as well so it will be a short but packed day at Birmingham. India has done very well in these Commonwealth Games considering strong sports such as shooting and archery were not there. We have won medals in new sports such as Lawn Bowls where we won A Gold and a silver Medal. In Athletics we had our best ever showing with close to 10 medals including a Gold in Triple Jump.
Before I write the schedule for today I must say it has been a pleasure to write about all the days and the schedule and we will come up with articles about the medalists soon. So, with all that being said let’s get to the schedule for the last day of these Commonwealth Games.
BADMINTON
At 1:20 PM – Women’s Singles (Gold Medal Match)
PV Sindhu will represent India in this match and she will look to win this elusive Gold Medal to complete the set of Medals from Commonwealth Games with her already having a bronze and a Silver in the previous editions.
At 2:10 PM – Men’s Singles (Gold Medal Match)
Lakshya Sen will represent India by this final and he will look to win his first singles medal at Commonwealth Games and be the toast pf India. And he has a good chance of winning the Gold.
At 3 PM- Men’s Doubles (Gold Medal Match)
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will represent India in this match and they will face the tough England pair but they will feel confident of winning the Gold Medal for India.
TABLE TENNIS
At 3:35 PM – Men’s Singles (Bronze Medal Match)
Sathiyan Gnanasekaran will represent India in this bronze Medal match and he would want to win the Bronze Medal for India in this match and earn himself a third medal and collect the set in one edition of Commonwealth Games.
At 4:25 PM- Men’s Singles (Gold Medal Match)
Achanta Sharath Kamal will represent India in this gold Medal match and even though his opponent is one of the toughest Sharath Kamal will want his fourth medal of these Commonwealth Games to be a Gold Medal and be the athlete of these Commonwealth Games for India.
HOCKEY
At 5 PM – Men’s Team (Gold Medal Match)
The Indian Men’s Hockey team will take on Australia in the Gold Medal Match and they will look to beat Australia to win the first Men’s Hockey Gold Medal for India at Commonwealth Games.
