The last TV show before WrestleMania 40 is in the books, and it was a great show, and the WWE Hall of Fame was after the show. It was very nice to see Paul Heyman and all the other legends get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The SmackDown was a show that had some action and was the last build before WrestleMania 40. More than 19,000 fans were in the arena, and the record for the largest gate in SmackDown history was broken.
Let’s look at the results of the go-home SmackDown before WrestleMania 40
The Kevin Owens Show
The show started with the Kevin Owens show, and the guest was Randy Orton.
They both are faces who hate Logan Paul so much that they have teamed up,
although it is a Triple Threat match. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were making
fun of Logan, but he was at WrestleMania stadium, and then the faces
decided that they would go there and catch him. It was an entertaining segment.
Bronson Reed wins Andre The Giant Battle Royal
Next up was the first match on the show, and it was the Andre The Giant
Memorial Battle Royal. This happens every year before WrestleMania, and the WWE
superstars who did not get the chance to compete at WrestleMania do so here.
There were a lot of talented WWE superstars in this match. Omos was supposed to
win, but he threw himself over the top rope. After a great match, it was
Bronson Reed who won the battle royal. This match should be at WrestleMania.
Logan Paul gets caught
Logan Paul then arrives at the arena of SmackDown, and Kevin Owens and Randy
Orton are supposed to be at the stadium, while Austin Theory and Grayson Waller
are searching for them. Logan turns his heel on the crowd and says that Randy
Orton and Kevin Owens are idiots, but then they come from under the ring and
beat him up. This set the Triple Threat match to WrestleMania nicely.
Andrade joins LWO with Rey Mysterio
It was time for Dominik and Santos, as they beat up Rey Mysterio, but then
Andrade turned his face, and he helped Rey Mysterio against his so-called
friend Dominik Mysterio. This gave a great idea to Rey Mysterio, as he selected
Andrade to be his partner for WrestleMania 40. This decision made Carlito
unhappy because he hoped that it would be him.
Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins get their revenge
It was Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa, and Jey Uso won by DQ. After the match, the
brothers beat down Jey Uso, but then Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins came and
helped him. Then all three proceed to beat the heck out of The Bloodline. They
beat them with belts, and Cody Rhodes got his revenge. This was the perfect way
to close the build for WrestleMania 40, and the only thing left is for the
action to begin, starting with NXT Stand and Deliver, which will be a show for the
ages.
