This was the concluding week for the very successful NXT Gold Rush event which spanned over weeks and it was one of the best events that NXT has put in a while and all the championships were put on the line and the second week was as good as the first. There were a total of 5 Matches that were in the card today and all 5 of them were delivered.
NXT is in a very good spot right now with Shawn Michaels heading the ship and he has become one of the best creative bookers in wrestling in such a short period of time.

So, let’s look at the Results for WWE NXT Gold Rush Week 2:
Tiffany Straton beat Thea Hail for NXT Women’s Championship
This was the first match in the show and it kicked off the night and it was a very good match between these 2 women and this was the biggest match in the young career of Thea Hail and she stepped up to the challenge and she and Tiffany Straton had a 10 minutes match which could have gone longer but both these women gave it their all and in the end as expected Tiffany Straton retained her title and Thea Hail gained a lot of new fans after this inspiring performance at just 19 years old.

Gallus beat Edris Enofe and Malik Blade for NXT tag team titles
The second match of the show was for the NXT tag team titles and this match was one of the best tag team matches in NXT in some time and both these teams had awesome chemistry in their first match together and these are the wrestlers who are great who can have a great match against anyone and they had a long 14 minutes match and it was close but at the end it was the experienced team of Gallus which retained the tag team titles but Edris Enofe and Malik Blade made new fans and Shawn Michaels was one of them.
Nathan Frazier beat Dragon Lee for NXT Heritage Cup
This was a banger without a minute being wrestled because it was sure that these 2 wrestlers would go out there and have a banger. Nathan Frazier vs Dragon Lee is a dream match at such a young age for both men and they went out there and they had a 13 minute match in which they showed the world why they are so highly regarded as 2 of the best young NXT wrestlers. It was a match for the Heritage Cup and Nathan Frazier won it 2-1 but in the end the fans were the winners as they got to see a PPV level match free of cost. The future is bright for both these men.
Gigi Dolin beat Kiana James
This was the only match on the show that was not for a title or a trophy and these 2 women knew the opportunity they had to show the world that they are great wrestlers and switch the opinions about them and that is exactly what they did. It was not a perfect match by any stretch but this was their best Singles match and the fact they they wrestled for 10 minutes and showed their range is truly commendable. The future is now looking bright and after the match Kiana James humiliated Gigi Dolin by throwing blue ink on her.
Carmelo Hayes beat Baron Corbin for NXT Championship
This was the main event of week 2 of WWE NXT Gold Rush and this was probably the best match on this show and overall it was among the Top 3 Matches in the 2 weeks of Gold Rush. Before the match something happened that made the fans happy as The Lone Wolf version of Baron Corbin cane to wrestle and this was a great start as fans and Baron himself have wanted to be back in this version and then he and Carmelo Hayes had an unbelievable 17 minutes match where Baron Corbin showed that he is among the best in the world and Melo proved that Melo Don’t Miss and that He is HIM. This was the best singles match in the career of Baron Corbin and from here on jr should carry forward the Lone Wolf character.
