WWE Money in the Bank 2024 Top Surprises and Unexpected Returns

WWE Money in the Bank is one of the Big 5 WWE PPVs of the year. This year Money in the Bank will happen at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto Canada. There will be close to 20,000 fans who will attend the show. The match card is great with 5 Matches announced. There is also scope for big surprises at the show. Last year out of nowhere John Cena appeared and the crowd lost their minds. The PPV will happen on 6th July 2024 which is a Saturday.

Let’s look at the Surprises to expect at WWE Money in the Bank 2024

1) Roman Reigns

The biggest surprise that can happen at the show is the return of Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns has been out since WrestleMania 40 and he has organically become a face and all that has happened thanks to Paul Heyman. Roman Reigns must have seen the New Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa get stronger with each passing week. The crowd in Toronto will give a reception fit for the Tribal Chief. It will be an unexpected surprise.

2) Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair is close to coming back to WWE full time and it has been almost 9 months that she has been out with an injury. The women’s division is strong but it will be better when she returns. She has already missed WrestleMania 40 so she would want to have a big match at SummerSlam where more than 60,000 fans are expected to attend. Charlotte Flair would get a great reception because she has had history in Toronto against Trish Stratus at SummerSlam.

3) AJ Lee

Drew McIntyre has qualified for the Money in the Bank Match which will take place at the event. CM Punk will be out for a while because of the heinous attack by Drew McIntyre. However Drew McIntyre has taken the bracelet which had the names of AJ Lee and Larry on it. AJ Lee has not been part of a WWE storyline for over 9 years. Since CM Punk cannot be there, the Toronto crowd could be in for a shocker as AJ Lee could appear to cost Drew McIntyre the chance of winning the match.

4) Jimmy Uso

Jimmy Uso has been out for 3 months because of the New Bloodline. He has been waiting for his chance to get his revenge. The Bloodline is in a 6 man tag team match and this will be the perfect time for Jimmy Uso to make his return and finally be the face that the crowd loves. He can cost The Bloodline their match. Jimmy Uso will be motivated to do better. He will be aligned with the original Bloodline of Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman as good guys.

5) John Cena

In the last 3 years, 2 of these years there has been a great John Cena return at this event. In 2021, he returned at the end of the show to confront Roman Reigns. In 2023, John Cena returned to London out of nowhere and the fans could not contain their excitement. So in 2024, another incredible John Cena return cannot be ruled out. There have been no reports which was the case last year as well. John Cena has said that he is nearing the end of his WWE career.
