Before I get onto the article, I have to say that the decision about who beats the record breaking run of Roman Reigns is one of the most important decisions that Triple H has to make in his time running WWE because the person who pins him and beats him has to be someone that all the fans can believe that he can beat Roman and there are only a handful of people left. So, let’s get into the reasons why I think Cody Rhodes should beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39
The biggest star in WWE
Outside of Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes is the biggest star that WWE has right now who is a face on the roster. Cody Rhodes is someone who is beloved by the fans and he is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Cody Rhodes is one of the few WWE stars who stands toe to toe with Roman Reigns when it comes to stardom and if he beats Roman Reigns for the title everyone would believe it.
Fulfilling his father’s dream
The American Dream Dusty Rhodes was never able to win the WWE championship In his career and this is the motivation that Cody Rhodes is using to propel him to gold. Cody Rhodes would want to make his father’s dream come true and the fans are already behind him and support his dream and therefore the story that could be told is extraordinary and the promos between the 2 sides would be great.
Incredible ambassador for WWE
It is no secret that Roman Reigns is one of the best global ambassadors that WWE has had in his history and he represents WWE so well everywhere he goes and therefore the person who beats him should also be one of the best global ambassadors for WWE and there could be no one better than Cody Rhodes because he commands the respect of all his peers not only from WWE but also from other wrestling companies. Cody Rhodes would be a worthy successor to Roman Reigns.
Grabbing eyeballs to the product
Roman Reigns has been champion for so long because he is a superstar and the fans want to watch him whenever he is on Screen and the ratings go sky high and the viewership in digital is also at a high and thus the person to beat Roman Reigns should also have similar star power and Cody Rhodes has that in spades because WWE fans would watch him in bulk and go to the skies paying for a ticket. The digital viewership would also break records.
