Top 5 Best Matches of Kane

Kane is one of the biggest legends in WWE History and one of the most long term compelling characters ever introduced in WWE. He debuted in 1997 and till last year when he was inducted in the Hall of Fame, he was one of the most imposing superstars and an incredibly athletic wrestler for someone of his size. The fans loved him as well as hated his character during these 23 years and the longevity that he was able to have is mind-blowing.

During his legendary 23 year run with WWE, he has had a lot of matches and probably more than most of the WWE superstars in history and among them to choose the Top 5 matches is one tough task but this is the fun part of this and everyone’s list may be different to ours. So , let’s look at the Top 5 Best Matches of Kane.

Kane vs Undertaker (WrestleMania 14)

This match without a doubt is the best match in the career of Kane and it came against his Brother The Undertaker and the king storyline they were telling since 1997 when Kane debuted and since that time there have been so many layers to this story that the fans have been engrossed throughout and the match came and as expected it was a banger of a match.

Undertaker left no stone unturned to make Kane look like a bona fide superstar in his first WrestleMania match and Kane dominated the match taking out years of frustration on his big brother and they had an incredible back and forth match and Undertaker hit 2 Tombstone Piledrivers and Kane kicked out  both times and that made him a top guy and with the third Tombstone Undertaker won the match but it took a lot out of both guys.

Kane, Daniel Bryan and Ryback vs The Shield (TLC 2012)

This was one of the best six man tag matches of the last 10 years and it also happened to be the debut match of the Shield as three young stars in Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were having their first match as an unit and the three opponents they had were the perfect ones to do it with. Kane was at his A game that day as he helped Roman Reigns establish himself as a dominant force and make him a star and after a great match ,The Shield proved to be too much for their opponents, thereby getting the win and this was one of Kane’s best performances.

Kane vs Stone Cold Steve Austin (WWE Raw 29 June 1998)

This was one of those matches for Kane that helped him solidify his status as a great wrestler and a top star in the company even in defeat. The story going into this match on Raw was that on the previous night Kane defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin to win the WWE championship but the next night there was a rematch and this match was an incredible match and Stone Cold being the pro that he is gave Kane a lot of opportunities to shine and become a bigger star during the match and after this objective was achieved, Austin regained his WWE Championship and this was a stellar performance by Kane.

Kane vs Chris Jericho (Armageddon 2000)

Chris Jericho and Kane had a great Rivalry in the summer of 2000 and it was also very entertaining for the fans as they would be invested in this storyline from the start and both elite level performers told a great story which finally culminated in a brutal last man standing match at this PPV in 2000. These two threw everything at each other during the match and told a great story as well and the use of different weapons was a big bonus as well and after a hard fought match , Chris Jericho won the match by stacking a pile of chairs on Kane’s body and he could not get up before the 10 count. Another amazing performance by Kane.

Kane vs Triple H (Judgment Day 2001)

This was a great time in both the careers of Triple H and Kane as they were at the top of WWE and this feud was going for months over the Intercontinental Championship and after a series of matches, it finally came to a head during this match for the IC title and both these legends saved their best for this big one as they both had an amazing back and forth match and it looked like Triple H would get the win but to the surprise of a lot of people Kane won the intercontinental championship and he deserved it.
