The main event of SummerSlam was between Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship. It was a Bloodline Rules Match and this stipulation meant that the scope for returns was massive just like at WrestleMania 40. This return by Roman Reigns is one of the most significant In modern WWE history.

Aftermath of WrestleMania 40
It all started after WrestleMania 40 and after Roman Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event to Cody Rhodes. Roman Reigns was supposed to take a long break from WWE and WWE had to continue the Bloodline Storyline. Solo Sikoa was given the responsibility of being the leader of the new Bloodline. He first took out Jimmy Uso and he has not been seen since. He added Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa in quick succession and then he did the biggest thing and he added Jacob Fatu who is the Samoan Werewolf. However the one thing that ticked off Roman Reigns was when Solo Sikoa took out Paul Heyman. That was the last straw which forced Roman Reigns to come back and take back what is his.

The night of SummerSlam arrived and it was all out war between Solo Sikoa vs Cody Rhodes. Roman Reigns had seen Solo Sikoa call himself the Tribal Chief and that was not something which was acceptable to him. Roman Reigns took Solo Sikoa under his wing and made his his enforcer. And as soon as Solo Sikoa was going to win the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns returned and cost Solo by spearing him. The OTC was back and he was back to rule the yard. Solo Sikoa was shocked as he said that Roman Reigns will never return. Paul Heyman will return in the next SmackDown.
The Road Ahead
The road ahead after SummerSlam is very exciting. Roman Reigns will bring life back to SmackDown and The Bloodline storyline will finally get some life. Roman Reigns will be the biggest face in wrestling. Solo Sikoa will be angry and he will look to take revenge. There are 4 in Solo Sikoa’s team which includes Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa and one Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns will have to reunite the original Bloodline. This means he will have to get Jimmy Uso back and he will have to go to Raw and get Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. It will be a hard road as both Jey Uso and Sami Zayn will not trust Roman Reigns easily. This will make for some great Television.
And once the original Bloodline is united as faces then everything will lead to Survivor Series Wargames where it will be Team Roman vs Team Solo. The Bloodline Civil War has begun and there is one man that has yet to return and that is the Final Boss The Rock. The Rock will factor into this storyline by the time Survivor Series Wargames comes. Roman Reigns has not been drafted to any brand so he can continue this storyline on both Raw and SmackDown. The Rock will not be happy that Roman Reigns helped Cody Rhodes retain the WWE Championship and he will take this as a sign of betrayal. This will go till WrestleMania 41 where most probably it will be Roman Reigns vs The Rock to be the Tribal Chief and Final Boss.
