Triple H has been the head of WWE creative since the last 9+ months and a lot has changed for the better in WWE in context to WWE superstars getting more TV time but one of the most important positives of the Triple H era has been the rising importance that he has given to the mid card WWE Titles such as the United States Championship and the Intercontinental Championship which were feeling redundant under Vince McMahon.
Both the United States Championship and the Intercontinental Championship are 2 very important titles that have a long standing history attached to them and the WWE fans got sad seeing the state that those titles were in just the past year and it had been going on for a long time.
So, let’s talk about the rising importance Triple H has given to these 2 Titles:
Triple H started work ever since he took over
Ever since Triple H took over in July , one of his first priorities was to set right the horrible course the mid Card titles were in and he started work to repair them instantly. He first made separate video packages for each one of them with the champions from each era showcased in that video. What this did was remind every WWE fan how special these titles were and how they had been neglected in the past few years. Triple H knew a lot of work hard to be done and he was ready to do all of it.

Triple H had great champions who brought prestige to the Championships
The second great thing that Triple H did in bringing the importance of these titles is that he had Champions who could work with those titles and then he could build the title around them. For the Intercontinental Championship he had Gunther as the champion and he kept having great match after great match and the importance of the Intercontinental Championship was raised automatically with Time. And as for the United States Championship he had a few talented WWE superstars hold the United States Championship like Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins and Austin Theory. And all these incredible WWE superstars brought the United States Championship back to prominence.
Triple H booked the biggest WrestleMania Matches possible for both these titles
The true test of his work was to come in WrestleMania season as to what are the matches for both the titles and that would determine whether truly both the mid card titles had regained their earlier glory. And Triple H went all out with both of them and the sad fact is that neither was defended last year and this year at WrestleMania 39 for the United States Championship it will be Austin Theory vs the GOAT John Cena in a truly dream match and for the Intercontinental Championship it will be a banger when Gunther will face off against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in a triple Threat match at WrestleMania 39. Both these matches could steal the show.
