WWE is firing on all cylinders right now for the past 2+ years but the one department where they have not been able to find permanent people other than Michael Cole and Corey Graves is the WWE commentary Booth. The play by play position has been one that WWE has not been able to find someone to take the place of Cole. They tried Adnan Virk, Jimmy Smith and Kevin Patrick. However these recent commentary changes look like the best fit for both the WWE as well as the fans.

WWE Raw Commentators
Michael Cole and Pat McAfee
The iconic duo of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee is back and they will be the weekly commentary team for Monday Night Raw. This is something that was out of the blue and there were no prior reports in the media. At the start of Raw, Pat McAfee came out and Cole announced that he and Pat McAfee will be the new commentary team for Monday Night Raw for the future every week. The WWE fans have always wanted to see these 2 on the booth for one last time before Pat McAfee becomes too busy and Michael Cole retires. The Road to WrestleMania 40 on Raw will be a fun ride. Michael Cole is at his best when he is with Pat McAfee as was the case when they were the commentary team for SmackDown for almost 2 years. Pat McAfee will no longer do College Gameday for ESPN. They will hate together on Dominic Mysterio, Pat McAfee will edge on Cole to bring out his enthusiasm and there will be lots of fun.
WWE SmackDown Commentators
Corey Graves and Wade Barrett
This is a totally new pairing but ever since Michael Cole and Pat McAfee were announced as the commentary team for Raw, the WWE fans were wanting this pair. Wade Barrett has been truly exceptional as on Raw and so therefore he will now be on SmackDown and Corey Graves will be the play by play guy. He has been commenting for close to a decade and this will be his first try being the lead guy on the booth. He has the experience and that will help him take on this new role. Both are heel commentators and that will be fun to see their dynamic. LA Knight will get a great welcome by Wade Barrett and Roman Reigns will have 2 fans cheering for him. WWE needs to give this pair at least a year to get their groove together. Kevin Patrick was unfortunately not ready for the role and therefore this change was necessary. The women’s division will get the respect from both men as they are the biggest fans.
