Dominik Mysterio is a curious case of a wrestler that was given the keys to the kingdom by his legendary father Rey Mysterio and he even had his debut at SummerSlam in 2020 against Seth Rollins and he looked great in that and everyone thought that Dominik Mysterio had arrived. However, a few months after that the fans turned on him because he was not showing any character development or growth as a wrestler.
The WWE fans were saying that he was only getting all these opportunities because he is the son of Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio needed a change of scenery and a heel turn badly and that is exactly what happened.

As was discussed before the debut of Dominik Mysterio was at SummerSlam 2020 when he faced Seth Rollins and all WWE fans were excited to see what he could do and the end result was exceptional as he had the best match of the night. They tore the house down and the future was set for Dominik Mysterio but after a few months WWE fans started to voice their concerns that Dominik Mysterio was not improving in the ring or as a character and he was just a sidekick to his father and he needed a change.
The Heel Turn
At Clash at the Castle it was Rey Mysterio and Edge was The Judgement Day and Rey Mysterio and Edge won the match but after the match Dominik Mysterio turned heel on his father and Edge and this started the road to Revival. He was paired with the Judgement Day and instant results were being seen as he was getting booed like anything by all the cities they went to as Dominik Mysterio talked trash about his father. He gained more and more confidence as the months went by and then came the goldmine
Prison Dom
The journey to this character is amazing as when Rey Mysterio got himself drafted to SmackDown, Dominik Mysterio and his Mami Rhea Ripley started irritating Rey Mysterio and his family on special occasions like they would go to their home on Christmas and New Year, but Rey Mysterio got his son arrested and after thus was born Prison Dom which made him one of the most entertaining acts in WWE. He cut Promos from the Jail and these days as well he never falls to remind us that he served Hard Time and his comedic timing is one of the best in WWE. He had won everyone over with this act and the WWE universe boos him more than ever.
